I'm sorry Sir but I'm having trouble believing your tale...
600 grams (more than a pound dried) of mushrooms would fill the average stockpot.
To which you'd have to add a gallon or more of water just to cover the dried mushrooms...
So you were drinking a half gallon or more of shroom tea?

And psilocybin's effect on the body lasts about 8 hours tops... regardless of dose.
I guess if you guys ate all the soggy shrooms and that now hydrated more than a pound of shrooms managed to get past your stomachs without being vomited out... maybe the load in your intestines would keep you tripping?
But 30 hours?

Maybe you had a bunch of something else on board...

First you grind up the mushrooms, then you do use one of these. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Granite-Ware-34-Quart-Steel-Stock-Pot/17377472?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1172&adid=22222222228014296409&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=52409503095&wl4=pla-79493382015&wl5=9060326&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8453398&wl11=online&wl12=17377472&wl13=&veh=sem with 6 qts of Orange juice. Then cook 30 mins on high. Drain what's left of liquid which for us was 3 cups. I never said I did vomit just the blacking in and out. Psilocybin might only last 8 hours but the effect of tachycardia I was having + being in a hospital passing in and out while they are treating you with meds for people having stokes lead to that long 30 hours.

I did that once with acid before I knew better lol. I was like "I'll just take one tab."  I ended up startng my new job the next day as a machine operator still having audible hallucinations! I'm there trying to operate a 20' fuckin' press in a plywood mill still fuckin' tripping.  I will never trip again unless I have spent the night before sleeping and the day of hydrating and fasting.  Respect the drug lol

I think fasting would lead to more problems for me than not fasting. Hydration is important. I always feel very clammy when on shrooms. Kind of like my clothes turn into a FC :p

wow, 6g's for breakfast. I don't get why all you people dose so high. When I take 2 cracker dried grams, I'm good for the day. I could handle 6, and have before, but for me, 2 grams nearly always suffices.

I would rather dose high and have to hold on than to dose too low and be disappointed... Life becomes tolerable to me after a good dose like that..I only need a trip like that every few months..

No bullshit, I just got woke up about 30 min ago for a phone call NONE of us want to get. A very good friend of mine for the past 13 years, well he hung himself in his garage last night. I knew he had been drinking constantly but never knew he had got that bad. Life had gotten in the way for me to see him. I'm sorry I had to confess this. This is going to be a fucked up day. I have no one to talk to about it until the wife gets home.

First time I tripped, 2g, watched the movie snatch". Remembered nothing of the movie the next day, only 2 hrs of laughing my ass off.
2.years later, watch the movie again and still today  it's one of my Favorites.

Snatch is a classic!  I could watch it monthly and still laugh my ass off.

Fuck man. I will send thoughts and prayers that way.
It is unfortunate that we can have brothers and sisters so close that suffer so deeply. It pains me more to be unable to alleviate their sufferings than my own sufferings cause me.

Its crazy what alcohol does. Hyperglycemia is what causes 75% of alcoholics to drink. Fucking psychoshit. People killing themselves over the up down rollercoaster of sugar dependency..

It is painful to think if your friend simply stopped ingesting so much sugar and got his diet on track chances are he would still be alive. What you ingest is more important than you can imagine. I think the fungi really put that into perspective..

Re: TRUE CONFESSIONS - of an amateur mycologist [Re: Lobi]
    #24309056 - 05/10/17 08:13 AM (6 years, 9 months ago)

The drinking just started a few years ago. It was his way of escaping his emotional pain. He had been through a lot. Starting with his father killing himself when he was about 15. His father did it to escape physical pain from a bad car accident. High lvl pain meds didn't help his dad any more, he would just lay there strung out in pain, half in half out of it. One of our mutual friends said he once confided in him, that his father had him pull the trigger on the gun. Now this came from a mutual friends that was basically a fill in father. Hell Chris called him dad so I don't really think it was a lie. If he really did pull the trigger to put his father out of pain, well that was the start down a bad road. His abusive son's mother, that he fell for a year or 2 after fathers death, didn't help at all. Bitch was crazy and would beat the living shit out of him and play games with his head.

Keep your friends close guys.
