Temperature
    #2430826 - 03/14/04 11:40 AM (13 years, 14 days ago)

So I've read most of the PF tek guides and they say 75-85 for fruiting.
How much slower will mine go, and what are any other problems that come with a temperature of[day:75 night:65]?
if this is covered somewhere, sorry point me to it and ill delete this thread
thanks a bunch.

They will just grow a bit slower, and you
might need a cold shock to fruit, unless
you have patients.

ive read all the literature and i wasnt asking what the incubation or fruiting temp IDEALLY is. I was asking if mine (65-75) was OK and what effect it will have on the growth and chemical production?

I feel like the fruiting process will be slower, but (I
don't remember where I've been reading that) there will be
more psylocin, cause too much heat will decrease it.
Anyway, maybe 65 is way too much, try to keep it up at 68 /
70 ?.
Anyone have any idea regardin' psylocin / heat ?

That's not what he was asking. Cerebral, unless you're in a hurry I wouldn't worry. They will still fruit (and soon will have plenty of loot).

I can't tell you for sure how much longer it will take, but it probably won't take twice as long. I'm in a similar situation as you - for my next grow I won't have electricity (no heat). I guess we'll see how it turns out.

As for the psilocin, I haven't heard anything about what Mex is talking about, but I'm assuming he means that the psilocin to psilocybin ratio will be higher (more psilocin than psilocybin). I doubt it will make a big difference.

Your temps arn't that off. I'd be surprised if you noticed a difference at all.

People need to stop overthinking the process and making growing shrooms harder then it is.
