Sold my small batch of DOT @ 41.19, (acquired by selling XMR @ 266). $50 into $350, won’t complain heh.

Still have XLM, EOS, OMG, and MIOTA in larger quantities and alerts for about twice their relative value. Taking a break from the chart watching and am going to let my app work for me right now. Also have a BTC sell order at 58.2k (per Geos breakdown), but I don’t mind not moving on BTC if that doesn’t hit.

Well the INS I held (cant remember how, probably threw $200 at it back in the day) is now worthless. Their swap never materialized and the price tanked before I ever had access. It said in the account at one point that my holding were worth well over 4k, but what does that mean if you dont have access to the coins . Whatever, cant win em all. The token is being retired as of 2/28/21, and they have a burn program for what coins people do have. I now have access to 100 coins, but they are worth a total of .13c....

Just posting as a reminder to anyone looking to pool money into some random coin just because its being hyped somewhere. Do your due diligence

Feel rather fortunate to have sold most of my stuff, even if not at top. Still holding a few and have reason to sell them now. Was also lucky to hit my 58.2K unloading of a personal BTC stash (thanks for that level Geo!)

It could very well rebound in the coming days and we’ll then this was all moot discussion heh. If it drops into the 30s I’ll pick up half a position, and into the 20s the rest of my capital.

Have been doing this set and forget thing with DOT the past few weeks as it continues to dance between $33-40

So far have turned 8 DOT into 11 without doing much more than a few keystrokes. Picked up my
Last batch at $32 and have the next sell order for $38. Set and forget FTW

Hit my other DOT order - this thing just seems to pingpong back and forth between that $32-39 range

Ok and other 'big' news. I was working late last night and had to change a work password, well for some reason it was a Really old password that I never use anymore. And I thought, hmm maybe this would be the same one I used for my now inaccessible blockchain account - It wasnt, but it prompted me to try a few more old ones and BAM - logged in! Also, it was a password I am sure I had tried before, but it worked this time, so I dont know, maybe I misspelled it and didnt even notice! I have been trying to get in this account for quite a while, and not a bad time when BTC is near ATHs.

There was only about $1.80 in BTC when I stopped using the account, but in todays crypto that totals a whopping $170  - not bad for money I thought I would never see again! So thank you to all the forces that be in the Universe to reunite me with these long lost funds, and yes I plan to buy (at least a few) hotdogs in Vegas, just for old times sake.

Nice Kawasaki! Do you ride it often?

I want to get another but Orange county is not the most motorcycle friendly place. We might be moving out of state and if that happens one of my purchases will be another Harley

In crypto land - just have a buy for DOT @ 32. Might adjust that buy as we’ve seen higher highs lately. If it triggers will probably set the next sell for the low 40s.

Still holding 2018 acquisitions to sell @ higher aggregate movement:
XLM
IOTA
OMG
EOS

Holding: BTC

Unless trading in an IRA LLC, or similar account. Granted you wont get to see your realized gains (if any) until retirement age, but at least no taxes

Geo have you ever considered an self directed LLC IRA for trading crypto?

I am pretty much shifting to this method of trading - as I dont plan on accessing any of these funds for the next 20 years anyways. The real difficulty is finding the correct custodian who doesnt kill any incentive with fees.

Minus the premium from the ask price and the dealers bid/spot price.

You easily might pay something like $550 for a 1/4 oz but the spot price is 450 for that weight and say the value of gold goes up and a 1/4 oz is actually worth 550 at spot price. If you sell you might only get $500. So the oz price could go up $400 bucks and you might still be down $50 for example. So the price needs to raise enough that you actually make money after losing out to the premiums you pay

this kind of depends - assuming im not misunderstanding the conversation.

There are usually vendors that will pay you over spot when you sell your PMs back. Make sure you do some homework to find these places. For instance, when I was considering selling my selver to APMEX earlier this year, they were ofering something like $3-4 over spot per coin. I guess because it was in demand, but just saying, dont assume you have to take a loss on spot.

is it accurate that one BTC transaction requires about as much energy as an average american household uses in one day?

if so that pretty bad. Is there any fixing that?

DOT what in the world haha, man if I knew what I knew now, all in on the ebb and flow it’s been on.

Consistently buying $5 lower and selling $5 higher for nearly a month now, doubled (a small position), currently cash and waiting on a buy order at $33 - don’t know if it’ll dip that low again right now so might adjust to $34 range, but still, if it doesn’t hit man I am happy with doubling up with little to no effort

Personally, if I was anticipating a large correction, I would set stops for levels that assured some gains but didn’t trigger immediately. I anticipate strength for the near future, and wouldn’t want to be sitting on a devalued dollar longer than I have to.

Personal opinion...

Still sitting on my usual coins,

MIOTA surpassed $2.00 which was one of my sell targets. However it continued to rise up to $2.60, which had my second guessing why I had chosen that target - with a look at the chart history I decided to sit and see if it could break $3, which was a no go but it still seems to be stabilizing around $2, even with the pullback from BTC. I like waiting and will continue to.

Still holding

OMG
XLM
AST
EOS
1INCH

Will sell any of them with the right movement
