These charts are insanely useful to help understand where things are moving short term. I marked out in MS paint a bunch of important areas that help up to see the market better. This is last nights dip.

When the purple line goes high above the blue line I made, its selling territory, that's means it's over bought a better time to consider selling. When purple line is lower than the blue line it's under bought and safer to buy

Look at the red and green lines. When they intersect and begin forking that means something is happening and you should pay attention now. I marked each special area with orange line that shows you were the dips and ups are starting. At the bottom of the dip you can see the green and red coming in hot closing in on each other.

When red line crosses above green and creates space between the green and red you be safer to buy there. As you see them coming back together you wait, and when they intersect again and green goes up, and red down, you'd rather want to sell there.

The yellow curvy line represents the strength of the trend. So curvy yellow line goes up, you're more confident in the direction things are moving. Trend line goes down, there's less confidence. When it moves in a straight line things are pretty calm.

When you read this yellow line keep in mind that it sort of has momentum to it, like it only ever hard turns in sharp angles when shits too high or too low, and theres a solid window of opportunity to make your move when you do see it take a hard angle. You can see at the bottom of the dip it really cracks

This might help you because it really gives you an extra bit of vision into what's going on and what's more likely to happen in the short term

This is Tradingview.com and I am using RSI and the ADX and DI indicators.

Here is my chart on btc

Thoughts?

We are above the cloud, the flag looks kind of bullish,

Most likely it will break out above the flag and zoom to the moon, or it will break below the flag and we will drop steeply.

In other words, it will go up or it will go down

but I have a lot of bullish signals in this chart so I predict a break out

At one point last bull run my portfolio was worth 120,000, I got it that way by just holding, I just held and held and one day it was 120,000, holding is what got me there, so I just did what I always did, I held, it crashed last crash, I held the crash, the 120,000 turned into just 80 dollars, I almost bought more but my life was getting fucked from covid economics I was worried so I held onto my substantial savings.

I did what I always did, I just kept holding,

It's now sitting at around 31,000 or so.

Now I know what you are thinking, I am down from the 120,000 holding was a bad idea, but I am just gonna keep holding.

You see if I didn't just keep holding I wouldn't have ever even saw the 120,000 in the first place. Shit loads of other people sold the same shit I was holding long before they peaked and hopped into other shit and won some and lost some of those trades and all sit today wrecked and are just gambling addicts. This market is built on them they fund it lol

and I am gonna just keep on fucking holding, I am gonna hold and hold and hold, and just keep on fucking holding and if there is a big ass crash I will just buy more and the hold some more.

I don't do this because it is the most profitable, I do it because its the safest, I use time, I invested money and then I invested time, I am patient and I am unemotionally dethatched from my investment, when it goes down I don't feel ill, when it goes up sure I get kinda excited of course,

But I just ride it, I ride the hodl coaster and its fucking great.

I can assure you bitcoin mega millionaires tend to not sell.

Shit I knew a bitcoin millionaire he taught me how to TA lol, He helped me program my ichimoku

Long story short he preached about holding, endlessly and then bam out of nowhere he predicted the bitcoin crash, and he was fucking dead on right, minutes before it got all crazy, then he got all wild and started trading like crazy, cause he would compound by trading alt coins and it was working for a long time,

Then he made several bad margin calls and went fucking broke lol.

People who trade a lot become hyper emotional gambling addicts from it eventually.

The main reason to hold bitcoin and not trade it is because it rockets so hard and if you happen to not be in it when it does, you will panic and not be able to think straight and end up buying high, then your head can wind up looking like this,

I would rather double or triple my money and then get out. I might miss out on some gains, but at least I am making money and not riding it into a loss. Everyone has their own trading method and if it works for them then that is GREAT!

You, I, and everyone else knows that you should have sold at $120,000 and then bought back in at a lower price. You held on for greed and now you are at a loss. You would have been better to take some profit and wait or invest into something else.

I agree over-trading can be bad and a lot of people lose out when doing that method. I have in the past and I think I have learned from that because I took some risk and lost before. It's kind of a gamble either way. None of us really know what it will do, if it will go to $100,000 or back to $3,000 so that is why I take profits when I can and am careful to get out before the greed hits me and I lose out on holding bags.

When it was $3,000 not that many people wanted it. When BTC is worth almost $50,000 everyone wants a piece. When  everyone wants in then that means SELL SELL SELL. When no one wants it then that is BUY BUY BUY!

I hope it goes up and you make your money and if it does then I will get back in and if not then I am still ahead.

OK but I started with 5k, so should I have sold when it was 10k, 15k, 20k, 25k cause if I sold at any of those and watched it rocket beyond I could have easily got suckered in bought back in and had it tank on me,

I then could have become this

With great ease, lots of people sold, some sold when they were up 100% and then got in on ADA and made 200% on that and then fomoed into tron and lost 50% and then bought etherem and lost 50% lol

Every trade I know is at a total loss now, but they were all up hundereds of % at one point, now out of all the traders I know, they're all at a loss except 1 and I am not.

I am at a multi hundred percent gain still and this next run up is likely to go higher than ever and now I know all the signals for a bear market and know when to get out if I so choose to not ride the next wave down,

however past performance is never a 100% guarantee for future performance.  I can just educate my guess better this time around.

in 2-10 years I expect to be a millionaire, if you trade you wind up being this guy

Think about it, most people in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 etc what did most do, they traded, well all of them would be better off had they just held lol its just a simple statistical fact.

Can someone help me learn a new skill - filling out the form to effectuate a short sale on Cryptowatch??  I can't emphasize this enough - I'm NOT doing this trade.  I just filled out the form for the sole purpose of asking if it is "what I think it is" as I've never done it before.  Can anyone knowledgeable comment?  In this mock trade I would be selling 10 OXT at a price of 0.5876 (what was then the market price) for a grand total of $5.88 which I would then have the right to buy back at some later time for (hopefully) a lower price thereby wiping clean the trade?  Is that right??

Thanks in advance!

Binance greatly inflates their withdrawal fees on a bunch of coins in what I think is an attempt to get more people using their own chains (BEP2 and BEP20)

You are better off buying another coin such as XMR that has a very small withdrawal fee, and transferring that to another exchange and then buying back. The problem is with market volatility by the time such a transfer goes through you may end up losing more than the original $25 it would have cost you to withdraw. It kind of sucks, however right now doing a fast BTC transfer even from a non-exchange wallet, one that would confirm within a block or two, probably still costs $10 to $15 in fees.

Pancake swap (CAKE) is on a roll. It's kind of like sushiswap but on the binance smart chain, which has minimal fees compared to the gas costs on etherem. Was considering buying some when I saw how much value they had locked in liquidity pools, and that their daily volume had been increasing steadily. It was at $3.70 then. It's reached $12.70 as of today.

Is there a way to figure out what percent of the global population has any crypto currency?

How Many People Own Cryptocurrency

Quote:

Finder.com conducted a demographic survey of 2001 adults in the USA. It guessed the currency owner number and how many people know about cryptocurrency. The following rates were discovered:

Only about 8% of American adults own crypto money;
The number of men is twice higher than women;
The most popular reason for the absence of BTC adoption is an idea of its uselessness;
The most popular type is Bitcoin (5.15% owners), the second one is Ethereum (1.8%);
17% are Millennials (aged between 22 and 37) who prefer cryptocurrency owning. Generation X has got 9% and Baby Boomers counted a little more than 2%

How Many Consumers Own Cryptocurrency?

HOW MANY PEOPLE OWN CRYPTOCURRENCY

Quote:

In 2018, Dalia Research conducted a survey of 29,492 internet-connected respondents from the US, Germany, the UK, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, China, and India on cryptocurrencies. They found out that 3 out of 4 respondents have heard about cryptocurrencies, while half of them know what cryptocurrencies are.

[...]

Therefore, we might conclude that the number of people owning cryptocurrency today stands between 35 and 55 million.
