Anyone looked into Bitcoin IRAs? I have seen a few of these pop up in news/ads lately. Not really a fan of having a custodian for my crypto’s in a 20+ year agreement. Will look into these and report back though

Wahh! Just found another wallet that I cant seem to access on blockchain. I had funded it with 58k (in todays money), and spent $3200 ($50) at the time on a steak dinner - filet mignon at the D in Vegas. Bunch of $3-600 (todays BTC value) purchases on hotdogs and Gyros. What have I done with my life!!!.    To be fair the food was ok.

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1AA3Lz2AKSUMzkq1WLW4K3eGKo7J7mvxWT?page=2

There is still $150 in BTC, which was $1.96 at the time and not enough to buy anymore hotdogs, so I forgot about it, there is also some BCH in that account, due to the airdrop that happened some years later. Ahhh. I have the ID, Password, and the two factor is linked to my phone, but it isnt letting me in....

Might have to contact support to see if they can help out. If I can get those funds, you better fucking believe I am going back to Vegas to buy some hotdogs.

Cardano continues to hike upwards, now at .82. My first tranche sold at .62, but at least I had the experience this time to not put it all on the table. Sold again at .78, and have my last order in the .90s.

XLM closed out 750 at .41 last night, still have another 2200 or so that I will wait and see. Essentially 4x on the investment here from order history ive found, though bought some in the higher .20-.30 range back in 2018. I am comfortable letting this ride considering my recent gains from selloffs, if it goes up into the .70-.80 range like ADA did I will sell off at those levels.

Still holding various ALT coins that I barely remember acquiring - TRON (purchased for a friend who then requested a cash buyout), MIOTA, Monero, EOS, and a few others I will probably have to track down on old hard drives. As this morning seems like the overall cypto market taking a breather, rather than outright correction to the depths of hell, I am fine taking my time and selling here and there rather than scrambling to get it all done today.

MIOTA is doin things. It and OMG are my last two large investments from 2019. When you span out to the last giant bubble it makes one wonder if now is selling too soon. Just putting them in an exchange and will take my time from there.

Also have been listening to podcasts and reading up on LLC custodians of IRAs for crypto investing, it still doesn’t make complete sense, but for tax purposes I am thinking I should be trading crypto in a Roth account. Will continue to update as I grasp more of the concept.

Why XLM? I am holding a larger portion still of it but for some arbitrary number in my head that is closer to $1. I know there’s some German deal or yadayada... haha I dunno whatever.

Endiku, time is good. If you need the break take it. The markets, just like Vegas, will Alllways be waiting for us investors when we wanna come back

Woah you aren’t kidding about Monero, just broke $200, gotta pull this one out of cold and get ready to sell. Think I only accumulated one lol, but whatever I’ll take it.

XLM, keep going baby!! I wanna see that at $1

XMR being delisted on Bittrex, along with some other privacy coins. Interesting. Deadline to trade them is 21st of Feb or so. Not sure if other exchanges are doing this, and the reason why is unclear as well. Just FYI for anyone holding.

With regard to long term investment of crypto assets, right now I am selling all of my altcoins into the strength of recent markets. Might not hit the top with a direct hit but have made out quite nicely, including ADA.

That being said, if/when the markets recede to what I would consider a cheap buy level, would have no problem taking on another portion of ADA, XLM, and a few other coins that could have long term growth potential. Maybe they’ll never go back down from here, but my best guess (and history) says it’s more likely than not (knock on wood )

Hard to say what overbought is in the crypto world. It was all over the news last night that BTC has broken 50k, and they made it a rather optimistic story. Who knows if there is more cash coming from the FOMO crowds out there.

I have a hard time selling my holdings... still waiting for the ALTs to catch up, but its going to take patience.

I have given up on my old BTC - they finally removed my 2FA which I thought (according to the error message) was preventing access to the account. But now it wont accept my password, even though thats what I have found to be the password in old old files.

Is $160 worth hours of work already spent, and now hours of work to come? Nope. C'est La Vie.

MIOTA took a nice jump to ~1.50 range.

I won’t sell until this is at/near $2, but like where it’s headed. Really loved the tangle concept when it was first introduced.

XLM is still sitting around .50, could sell here but also just want to wait and see how the upcoming movement affects these two Alts.

Woah, what about other currencies, such as USDT?

From what I remember back in the day, withdrawals cost a shitload on binance because they were supposedly a large volume exchange. I recently added monero to an old binance account because it was the only exchange I could trade the currency on. I have a Kraken account, but plan on using it for a self directed IrA in the future and want the account spotless.

Anyways...

consolidated and sold .2 ETH which was hanging out in various wallets. 50/50 cash-coin here, still waiting on positive direction from my current and largest holdings of IOTA, XLM, OMG, and I think that would do it.

Have a much smaller supply of AST, DOT, and INS - most of which was obtained years ago. The profits from these (at least at current values) are mostly insignificant.

Yeah I think they gifted like 10-20 BNB to my binance account way back in the day, I just sold them off as well, $10 a piece at the time.

Was reading up on OMG - really cool (named) crypto from the 2018 gen coins which kind of fell into obscurity after the crash, then recently (Dec) a company called 'genesis block investment' acquired it, which sent the coin a little higher. I dont know anything about this company (yet), and why they chose to acquire OmiseGo, but anyone who was trading at the time probably remembers the hype around this ERC-20 token.

Disclosure I have a small amount of these, and wouldnt go buying any of them at their recent highs. It makes me hesitate to sell OMG at the first swing up into the $20s - should that ever materialize. I might wait and see where this is headed, unless we get a full market blowout and its just time to bail.

Thats surprising that CB would offer loans like that. 8% is an expensive interest - and knowing anyone on CB taking out a loan like that is probably putting them right back into the markets. Its like Casinos offering cash advances.

Not saying anyone is thinking about it, but yah dont go doing that. If you really need money, go to your credit union and get it at under 3%.
