Re: Cryptocurrency: A Discussion on Bitcoin, Ethereum and Related Projects [Re: Primal Matter]

We need to AXE bitcoin, fast.

Bitcoin is obsolete in terms of energy efficiency and transaction efficiency.

A new protocol should be coded, fully audited, that doesnt even use 1% of the resources, the same number of BTC divisible in the same number of Satoshi and there should be a carefully controlled 1:1 exchange from the Ford T to the Tesla version of Bitcoin.

Cryptocurrencies are a step up from fiat currency, because they are produced in a fixed number which is then traded, contrary to the € and the $ which are printed in surplus at the expense of all holding it.
Inflation, printing surplus money at the expense of all, is Usury in motion, just like Mr Mugabe did to his people some years back:

So yes its a step up, because with crypto the number of tokens is fixed. Crypto is inbetween fiat money and gold and silver.

But it needs more, and while we figure out what more we can do we need to shift from Fiat to Crypto, and then the most energy efficient and transaction efficient crypto that can be achieved.

My Spirit Guide for long now pulled my ear about the greater merit of XLM relative to some fossils, and indeed Stellar Lumen went up more and more. Its energy efficient and transaction efficient and its entering developing nations to offer "virtual gold" to hedge against their IRL shitcoins that are many of their currencies. That is a RIGHTEOUS use of the technology and thats why my Spirit Guide supports it, and to good effect ^_^

I get what you're getting at but I'm still not following the logic/spiritual lesson.
I'm just trying to put my hard earned money somewhere that has a better return than the 0.0% of my savings account.
I can't help I was in Bitcoin before the 1st bubble, just like the people who were in it when it was given out for free at faucets.
Squiggly line goes up, squiggly line goes down--I don't care because eventually there will be no more bitcoin to mine.
Scarcity and rarity bring some sort of inherit value.
Like your silver coins with low mintage.

And that energy statistic, as Primal Matter pointed out, isn't a good point to not buy BTC.
It's similar to the Tesla car owners feeling pretentious that they're more-green-than-thou when they charge their car at home, but never think of the power plants that burn natural gas to electrify their home. When we finally do away with the anti-progressives and switch to nuclear, wind, and solar energy that point will be mute.

Yes, I am my own bank because the governments think that if they print more money to devalue the dollar does it stay at $1? You might think so, but that $1 goes a lot less further today than it did last year.
The dollar (or any fiat for that matter) only has value because people BELIEVE it has value. When it's just a fancy piece of green paper. Decentralized currency is a must in today's world.
So, again, what exactly is money?
Crypto is beautiful because it's a ledger, you cannot cheat it.

What's the spiritual definition of usury, besides its root--greed?

I doubt there's any reason to sell.  Just prepare yourself mentally for some degree of correction.

I'm not selling any of my top 3 just looking for action on the alts. Could've taken a 30% gain on BAND in 24 hrs but holding out for my commitment of $19.98. Might take a week or two but it will get there.

Life is good. I'm in Punta Cana and watched my portfolio cross 5 figures almost doing nothing.

No we live in Illinois but vacation 3 times a year. By no means rich but the last few years have been fruitful.

Have to admit that Elon tweet made me 20K I'll take it.

To the naysayers that say you can't get rich quick you're full of shit. Anyone with a few hundred bucks buy and hodl.

I made 3 trades on Coinbase back in December 2020 before I realized this. Thank god I had some phat profits, so it didn't hurt as much. You can move everything - cash and all crypto to Coinbase Pro for FREE without any hassle whatsoever.  My fees went from $44.00 down to $9.00 or even $6.00!!!  I don't understand the "maker" and "taker" thing they go on about - all I know is I DRAMATICALLY cut my costs.

Don't know about you guys, but I have never been happier with any purchase than last evenings 250 share buy of LINK at 27.32  It's up to 31.0 in less than 24 hrs!  $920 and counting!  WooHoo. Green dot on this hourly chary is where I entered the market.

Have you guys seen the VeChain news as of late? Especially because China and Amazon, Walmart, even McDonalds is getting in on it and it's only a nickle per coin. I bought 3k a few days ago, and now I'm itching to double down or even quadruple down, wer in dip buy on sale mode, fuck it. If you had dropped 5000 bucks into it a couple months ago, you'd have 50k now, more than 1 BTC. Why did we have to miss that :facepalm3:

Good decision.  ETH has been creeping up VERY steadily.  I'm holding mine for the mid-term.

I sold my 250 coins of LINK at 32.650 - close, but not at the top . It eventually went up over 34.0  Made $1,345 in 36 hours, so I'm NOT complaining.

And what happens when you click on adding funds from a UK bank???  Did you previously identify / set up a bank account from which funds can be added or withdrawn???  If you haven't how can you expect it to appear and for money to be available for transfer back and forth to / from Coinbase Pro your bank???

If you haven't it's no wonder wire transfer, Coinbase or credit card are your only options!

Enkidu, that EXACTLY how I feel, too!!  I bailed on my 130 LINK shares (in at 30.20 at 10:00pm last night and out at 34.20 at 10:00am this morning) at a VERY nice overnight profit of $520 (less $4.44 in fees).  Precisely 12 hours/12 one-hour candles, as illustrated.  Now I just hold BTC and ETH, and I don't feel bad about it at all.  I added significantly to my ETH holdings at the astounding price of 1700.  See graph.  If I wasn't watching, I'd have missed out.  I gotta say, though, the decision to throw more $$$ into ETH under the circumstances made me nearly soil my diaper.
