Is the collapse of FTX and probably Genesis, the tip of the iceberg? One way or the other, regulation is coming.

Could be, there is definitely serious fears of the collapse being contagious. Binance created a 1 billion dollar rescue fund to help shore up confidence.

They were going to buy out FTX but backed out. I'm an amateur here. Are Binance and Coinbase presumed to be the "too big to fail" exchanges?

Not at all. Both could definitely fail, but presumably they are better managed and don't store the majority of their reserves as in house coin. That's what killed FTX (many other issues too) but when all your reserves are stuck propping up the value of their home grown token it's bad. If they need to use reserves, as the largest holder if their token, when they sell it devalues. So when the bank run began, when they used reserve to cover it depreciated the reserve at the same time. That is my understanding of what really torched them. I'm sure more sophisticated people here can explain why I'm wrong though

See what happens moving into the new year. Could be a couple years of bottom feeding
Not exposed right now and not in a hurry to be
Might grab btc or eth or a few select alts if I have a bunch of extra funds but that's not too likely

No. Binance was largest holder of FTT. CZ (binance ceo) liquidated their FTT holdings on the open market, dumping the price of FTT. SBF offered to buy CZ's tokens via OTC. CZ said "nah" and fat finger sold. Thereby proving that FTX was insolvant.

please do your thing your way.
xlm will rise a bit, fall a bit, before it might moonshot.
i'm out of xlm into paxg awaiting a better entry point.
Longer term strategy still is to enter xlm bigger

So I went with Binance for now, installed the Binance US app, my question is:
Do they blacklist certain wallet addresses? Are they gonna punish me for trying to send BTC to those addresses without even telling me like Coinbase did?
It's not even super shady it's a fucking nootripic site, legit business. Just wanna buy some BTC with a credit card on Binance and send it there but wanna make sure they're not gonna do to me what Coinbase did. Anyone know? This is what I was using FTX for but we all know how that went...

You should assume all centralized exchanges will flag grey area or black market transactions to known wallets. Always send to your personal wallet, and use that personal wallet to make transactions.

430 xlm
0.0027 btc
0.0014 ETH
0.131668 paxg
I stopped putting money in btc and ETH at like 50 and 20 respectively
I still am putting money in paxg and a tiny bit In xlm
Asante said xlm will be backed.by silver, I googled it and I seen that come up on a conspiracy website, im just throwing the odd $5 at it like I do lottery tickets just in case this silver thing pans out
I wish I stayed in doge, I was in the reddit doge culture before it was cool, we would give away doge more than wed keep, on reddit we had a not that would randomly give away a random amount of your doge to users
I was using doge faucets that would give away 6 doge a spin, I could have just loaded up on faucets and waited 5 years lol

Very handy! And with exodus its your keys, your crypto. Youre holding the funds yourself. Theyre not on an exchange. Let me know if it works out for you. Its pretty straight forward.

Can I use exodus in canada? I keep all my crypto on the wealth simple, its not in my own wallet
I dont know how to do my taxes if I lose some of it through transactions, so I kept it in the app I bought it in
But I have over $300 In paxg that would sting to lose
