You need a better savings account. My interest was the same amount as yours with 1.700 euros.

It's another brick in the wall. The more we see long respected, forward thinking corporate and fund managers such as Michael Saylor, Paul Tudor Jones, Bill Miller, Ray Dalio, Stanley Druckenmiller, Elon Musk, et al.; accepting bitcoin as a viable treasury asset, the more bitcoin's global image as a viable asset becomes cemented. Musk and Tesla's endorsement of bitcoin is not going to end bitcoin's volatility, as crypto remains a relatively small asset class. But regardless of whether or not BTC ever crosses back below $40,000, this is another of the many steps that we have witnessed, moving us in the direction of increased adoption, broader exposure, mainstream understanding of this asset, and the eventual stabilization of price. It would seem likely that said price stabilization isn't happening today, or tomorrow, or even this year. But with every indication of the conventional financial world moving to accept crypto, it will happen, and it will likely happen at higher prices still.

TSLA put less than 8% of its cash reserves into bitcoin. It seems smart. I don't personally like holding dollars. The dollar supply is recklessly inflated time and time again. There's a reason the value of my house has more than doubled since I bought it, and it isn't because it got any prettier, the dollar just got uglier. Frankly, I have learned in my time, if not to ignore news, at least not to pay too much mind to it. It can be so sensational and built upon minimal evidence that it often equates to little more than noise to confuse you. Mind you, I do read a lot of news, but not while I'm trading. And I definitely cut the cable long ago, the talking heads are the absolute worst.
The price action is relevant, it is the crowdsourced consciousness of truth. That's my primary metric. And for now, the movement in an instrument such as ETH or BTC is not what I could honestly call "heading south". There are dips, some of them more violent than others, but the trend is clearly intact, and momentum has been building for some time. In these scenarios, it's best not to overthink it. The trend is your friend.

You guys are chaotic buying and selling and rebalancing and reassessing, and freaking out about missed opportunities, and then thinking its crashing, the bears are coming! pull out! put it back in over there. Its going up. It's going down! Pull out. I smell bears! I smells the bulls! Put it in! Oh no the bears! I sense a crash! Pull it out! Fuck it! Put it back in!
I'm seriously bet that just holding and forgetting, and not going fight or flight every half hour over the charts is going to prove the best strategy, not even a month later you'll see that
You imagine what bitcoin went through, youd have sold your 10,000 bitcoin for $20 already if you had the same mentality back then

I just wanted to say lurking on this thread is a big part of what finally convinced me crypto wasn't a scam. I put 90% of my "spare" cash into crypto not long after the spring 2020 crash and have been doing the DCA thing here and there since. After researching a lot and placing my bets, and have 5xed my initial investments overall. Getting into ETH and ADA last summer made up for the few dumb trades I made that lost me a little along the way.
So, thanks. I'm not rich, but definitely feel like I have much more of a financial safety net now because of crypto. I'm definitely looking at it as more of a long term investment than doing a bunch of trading, because I've learned I'm not the best at that. It also feels good to be a part of the disruption of the traditional finance system.

Good to see you swing back through eLeSDenes, and thanks for the kind words. But as for taking custody of other folk's money for a fee, no thank you -- that is a stress I can most definitely live without! I manage an account or two for my mom (who has explicitly noted time and again that she is OK with a 100% loss), in addition to the Shroomery's accounts. That's the only non-personal exposure I'm going to touch, and even that minimal amount brings me some uneasy stress at times! It's bad enough if you lose your own capital, but man, losing other people's money is just a really uncomfortable proposition. I also HUGELY value my time, being able to step away whenever I feel the need to; whereas if I were responsible/paid for other people's money management, it would be a lot harder to pare back positions and focus my energy elsewhere at the drop of a hat.
Furthermore, while I can read a chart relatively well and have the experience to understand fairly well how supply and demand intertwines with human psychology in tradable markets, that doesn't make me a sure thing. When I was buying SOL at $12-$14, sure I thought it was a good thesis, but I had no idea it was going to move to the degree that it has. Consider that I also recommended SNX when I first mentioned SOL, which, had I held it, would be underwater! That's where the experience really counts, as you learn to identify the relative strength across the market, and have the discipline to cut out the fat while concentrating exposure on the winners.
Anywho, it's my pleasure to share ideas and discuss these things here. You paint it as a public service, but it's actually played a huge role in holding my own feet to the fire, and in turn, refining and strengthening my discipline to allow me to grow into a better trader/investor.
