Jeez what happened to STORJ? It shot up like crazy, like a dum dum I bought in at 1.88 and now it's chilling with volatility at 1.81. I put in a sell order for 50% at just under $2 and 50% at just under $2.20. Call me optimistic.

It is going to be listed on coinbase (maybe coinbase pro? I don't know)
I'm sure part of it is just the bull cycle we're in but it's likely to drop at least somewhat after the coinbase listing goes live. Similar thing happened to cardano.

Yep it's coinbase pro. Anker is also up considerably. Curve is up decently too but not quite as much as the other two.

Taxes on short term gains are also something to account for. Unless you live somewhere with really great tax laws, trading constantly isn't all that worth it.

I'm impressed with the number of coins soon to be offered by CBP. But don't be too hasty! Same pop happened for ADA, and that coin waned pretty darned quickly after its CBP debut!

Meh, who cares. Been paying taxes all my life. I already have more money than I can spend during the rest of my life, so what do I care. Plus, I'd rather make it and pay tax on it than not make it.
Crypto trading is merely an amusement and a bit of a competitive sport for me. I've got a lucrative day job. Watching the charts makes my day less boring since I'm stuck in front of a computer all day anyway, and my drive to succeed at trading is just another passing "thing" to me. An affectation that I don't expect to last beyond this summer that has forced me to learn SO MUCH about things I had no knowledge of a couple of months ago. For fuck sake, 11 weeks ago I didn't know what a block chain was, or smart contract, or WTF an NFT was, never heard of Michael Saylor, or listened to a YT video crackpot spewing useless crypto advice which amounts to little more than garbage. Now (with ONE notable exception - Ben Cowen) I LMAO listening to them straining to look smart when the market makes them look like an ass within 4 hours of their video release.
So...the short answer to taxes? Who gives a fuck.

Short term capital gains is something to certainly watch out for.
For my bracket, Im taking a 32% hit every time. That alone changes the plays I make regarding risk vs reward.
You can also be taxed when you buy, sell, or convert crypto from one to another. You may not give a shit, but this is something very important to consider for a lot of people, especially those who have made some serious short term profits.
On the flip side, losses in crypto can be written off on your taxes, 3k per year. So for those who are deep in a red hole, consider it a 3k tax break for a few years to come.

There seems to be a lot of "good news" in the crypto media. Perhaps that is what is moving the market this morning? There's something weird about the 404 error, but see the articles below that at:
https://www.coindesk.com/casperlabs-vlad-zamfir-ethereum-lanhan-act
I picked up 150 UNI at 29.90 last evening somewhere around the 10:00pm hour on an open limit order.

All you had to do was hold since February and this little micro dip would still have you well in the green and you wouldn't be letting us know you say "fuck crypto". We ve been telling you to stop swapping and moving your holdings all over the place, one day you trust it, next day you dont. It's never going to work if you cant even hold tight for a week. I've done some of that indecisive swapping around leading to regret too, we all do it, but you have that habit the worst, man, been trying to help you since early February and show you this again and again but you dont ever listen or learn from this thread

Buy ONE when it goes close to, or preferably below, $0.19c and you’re guaranteed to make some money in the short term. (I’m hoping to catch some on a dip and have made buy orders from .14999 - .18999. I feel like it could reach ~.25c this week).
ONE is the only coin I give a shit about at the moment. I’ve doubled my “portfolio” trading it over the past week.
Edit: Not FA. DYOR.

I think I'm going to take y'alls advice and stop trying to day trade. I made a quick $38 off QTUM with a tiny investment by riding it up from $12 to $13. It dropped back down to $12 and I figured, fuck it, let's do it again. Wahwah...dropped like a rock to $8.
I bought in again low to try to mitigate some of the loss, after I get out with a small loss at $10.95 I'm just going to put the money into ETH since it's chilling around $1600.

And here's part of the fuel that will start the fire.
Investors are not going to swap out their gold for BTC based on today's up n' down price action, no matter WHO tells them to!
This guy cracks me up, and is reasonably informative.
But, as always, Ben says it best:

Not worth the stress and tax hit off each day trade. Buy, hodl, forget that you bought, and keep DCA in over the next 8 years. Invite me to your mansion when ya make it.
