geo, what's your thoughts on Tezos atm? It's currently my largest holding. Not taking red on it yet but damn it's been a tough month. All these alts shooting ATH's I hope to think  XTZ is right around the corner.

I think XTZ is fine.  Especially if you're staking while you wait, that 6% dividend is better than a savings account.  They have a pretty solid and well funded foundation behind them, although they are also a bit more cautious/slower to make moves with regard to more aggressive outfits like Solana, which is probably why they haven't seen a similar explosion in price for their native token.

From a chart perspective, it actually looks fairly healthy, although all that wild and wide volatility throughout September can lead to some exhaustion that requires a bit of time to consolidate.  We are seeing that now, with October looking a lot like how SOL looked through September, just a nice steady approach into a tight base.  While I can't tell you if XTZ is going to pop off in a big way, I do think it has the potential to continue higher, and that the current level ~$6 is effectively a quiet accumulation phase before continuation higher.

Bingo.

Got lucky and didnt lose my job during the pandemic, switched to working remotely, and have had a surplus of cash to burn since. (Not trying to brag, it was all luck to end up here).

The power of hodling. Crazy seeing how far ETH has come since. I need to do some more drunk buying. I bought SOL cause of you guys while drunk as hell too after seeing it getting plugged a lot.

You guys think the bullrun is ending sometime in 2022, or pushing into 2033?

I'm glad that worked out for you but if your lifestyle is such that you spend 18 grand during a drunken blackout, you probably need the money.

Thanks for the concern and armchair analysis

Looks like KOIN just had a decent pullback...considering jumping in but I gotta get to bed soon

It was at $1.13 when I made this post, climbed up to $1.19 and then a decent sized wallet dumped even more. It's back down to $1.

Still has an insanely low marketcap, but I didn't really do a deep dive into the platform, the ecosystem, what they've actually built so far... so I might do that before I buy.

This is normal.  And as sh4d0ws noted, you don't log into Uniswap, you just launch the app and connect your wallet.  Metamask is indeed a good option and will interface with a Ledger hardware wallet.

Yeah, I don't think you need to be in a huge hurry, and if you are buying this pop, you should do so incrementally, despite the terrible gas fees.  Low market cap issues like this, when they catch a big headline on a major outlet (as Koinos just did) will obviously pop in a pretty big way, and it might take days to weeks for the price to normalize as the initial cohort of buyers relaxes their enthusiasm.  On the other hand, momentum often begets momentum, and everyone is looking for a discount for "the next big thing" -- which is why I opted to buy a piece right away.  I do see the long wicks overnight down to $1, but my 4 year old had me asleep early and although I'm up pretty early, clearly not early enough, as we're pushing $1.50 now.  Daily volume is also up almost 1500% to $4MM+, which is a good indicator that this move will likely have some longer term follow through, even if it does re-test the lower end a bit.  Oh how I wish this was available on an order book DEX so I could set it and forget it.

Always good to appraise yourself.  The Cointelegraph article covers a lot of the bases, and their website touches in more detail upon their approach.  They are utilizing the ERC-20 token to inform and set their initial mainnet allocation, so if and when the main network materializes, that will likely cement a longer term and larger move on this, given the rather experienced team.  As for ecosystem, it's non-existent, which is why the value is relatively low.  After a mainnet launch, the next step will be to attract additional developer talent to build out the ecosystem.  It's a long and uncertain road, and that is reflected in the price, and the fact that as of yesterday this token was ranked at ~3500 (this morning breaking into the top 3K).

I am not going in gangbusters here... My initial purchase comprises about 0.5% of my total crypto exposure, and I suspect that the initial capital I allocate here may extend as high as a 5% aggregate allocation.  Still, that is more than enough to move the needle if this does develop into a Top100 project, which in my view is within the realm of possibility given their approach toward a modular and fee-less "layer 0" that will allow for practically any conventional programming language to be used in deploying additional layers to the ecosystem.  Honestly, the broad language support brings me back to my early days of enthusiasm for the Neblio NEBL project.  That's one that was ultimately big on ideas but lacking on development.  There was essentially only one developer and the project was largely a souped up spinoff of bitcoin core (nevertheless, I rode it from around $1 to as high as $60, cashing out around 1/3 of my position near that top).  Koinos looks like it has a group of well seasoned developers who already have successful crypto projects under their belt (e.g. Steemit) capable of building this out.

Says I've got it in the wallet but won't let me transfer. Does anyone know what's going on?

I see it in the portfolio on CB, but when I got to transfer it says 0 available to transfer. What gives?

The little (I) information bubble says available in 7 days, what in the hell, when they tell you bank transfer is recommended for instantaneous trading they freeze it for 7 days? Grrr.

We are still WAY UP near the 60k area, there is nothing ugly or concerning about it.

When it doubt, zoom out

Seriously... look at where we are and how far we've come. How is this ugly?? All my alts in this dip are still beyond 500-1000% green since the 30k BTC

Yeah I zoom out regularly

To me that's ugly. That's pretty to you?

To me that looks good to come up and get rejected for a lower high while we bounce down to the trend line and support

That being said I got my feet wet and I'll keep trailing stop losses as we climb, if we start to climb out of this dip.

If we don't get rejected then hey, let's ride

If we break lower, then hey, I'll try at the next bottom

That RSI nearing the same bottom where it was at 40k is quite pretty to me yes.

That was also in reference to the chart above it

That looks ugly to me

Regaining it would look prettier

Rejection and a lower high is Def possible before it can regain it, I'll watch and see

It will probably end up looking something like this. Theres plently of room for more red between now and a modest 100k top

It could, but a 2x from here right now without retesting $100 first or cooling off the RSI seems a stretch for me.

Vechain is interesting because its been laying low in preperation for a completion of this pattern

Hi everyone RANDOM pop in question- has anyone considered this downside to bitcoin/crypto

Formula: 0

SO picture this : If inflation goes Skyrocket worldwide, and you have a bitcoin worth A million Paper currencies- guess what? Your bitcoin is now worth 53 million times less.

In other words, if the worlds currencies don't hold, neither does bitcoin. Right? Or am I missing something?

This is what so many people fail to see. People think inflation is good for bitcoin, but in the end, it's the demise of it.

Am I totally wrong here or do you crypto people think that this is not a possibility.

Because it absolutely is.

Has anyone even thought about this before or am I genious.

Cash and Bitcoin are tied to each other and when one fails, so does the other.

Get of out cash now and crypto too IMO -before the big collapse.

Hell, it might be 10 years or more, no one knows. But it's coming.

What to buy? Land, guns, gold gasoline, physical assets. Paper money and crypto, and stocks are feeble AF in the wake of worldwide runoff inflation.

And if you want to be risky, sure, go ahead and keep making a little bit( or a lot) of money off of crypto. I think it's gonna hold for at least a couple years if not more.  But don't fail to see the future- the future of an economy that can not support itself. A currency backed by literally nothing but a belief that it's worth something.

Thoughts?

PS- This is not Financial advice so don't sue me
