I would advise caution accumulating here, in general.
Markets rarely reverse a high volume downside move right away. There will be, at minimum, some churning here. I don't see the immediate/short-term landscape as presenting any good buying opportunities and believe that it is appropriate to raise some cash now (if you haven't already) and remain patient. Near term upside appears limited and the risk of sideways to downside action is significantly higher than it was last week.

Grimsweeper said: Not to argue your point we've been in a downward trend for 8 days. What indicators would perceive as buying opportunities? At this point I'm only in for 20% of what I have allocated for buying.
It would be difficult to pinpoint a specific indicator that I’m looking toward. Surely, another downside move of 10%+ on 4+ times average volume would be something warranting some buying under the expectation for a regression to the mean… but those trades are hard to get because they happen so fast, in conjunction with a lot of the present day exchange infrastructure suffering from outages when hit with that level of peak volume. I don’t think this is a bad time to set some very low ball orders on CEX’s, as we have seen time and again, liquidation events cascading through thin siloed order books.
But on balance, I’m just looking for time here. The market hit a high, got rejected, and just barely eeked out a higher high this last week before getting rejected more ferociously that the prior high. Because the second, most recent high (in BTC terms) was not meaningfully higher, the dynamic indicates considerable supply overhead. That our reversion/bounce after the sell off has been weak and we are now making fresh short term lows on several assets further corroborates sellers getting more aggressive and buyers being more tepid. Things will undoubtedly change, but such change typically requires a period of grinding churn to carve out or confirm a reliable base of support.
It’s possible we don’t fall much further, but it’s also possible we fall a lot further, and given the supply/demand dynamic I outlined in the above paragraph, I think those who have raised cash and are able to remain patient, will find a higher probability of success in their next trade; regardless of whether that trade is in buying at steeper discounts, or in waiting for a base to tighten up and possibly even buying a little bit higher on signs of expansion out of said base, once it is fully formed.
In my experience, it is best not to get sucked into the trap of feeling bad about missing the potential to buy x% below where you last sold. If you are a disciplined trader, and the risk dynamic has changed, your best trade may be converting to cash and ultimately buying a bit higher once the risk dynamic has improved.

Definitely heavy... but of course, this is crypto... despite many assets down 20-30%+ since the beginning of the month, we still haven't breached the prior month's lows for most majors (e.g. BTC, ETH, SOL, LUNA). Crypto is volatile, that much is for sure.

For short term traders, this is a sporty field... longer term (weekly charts), we are still in a broad sideways (e.g. BTC, SOL, AAVE) to up (e.g. LUNA, ETH) range.
