I just purchased .2 BTC to put towards Tezos. Not a lot but its at the limits of what we can afford. So it says its like a fundraiser, but I guess the coins will show up eventually? Im just going to scan my coinbase app into my tezos pdf?
I dont know how that works and am hoping im not just donating money to them, that would suck. Can anyone who knows their platform explain that?
Thanks, and thank you Geo for the heads up on it.

I am aware geo, and would not have cursed your name even if it did go belly up. We both are well-versed in the risk of cryptocurrencies. For as much attention as this gained, I knew nothing of it until these threads, and thus am grateful for the knowledge, if nothing else.
Thanks for the reddit link. I too was concerned about all the hype it has gotten, and told my friends to exercise extreme caution, though most of them still dont even know what a bitcoin is. Well see how it goes.

I feel like the recent surge was from all the media attention. I dont know if that phase its nearing its end already or what. Dont see it selling off much because now everyone is going to wait as long as possible to get those insane returns theyve been hearing about. But I think it could be a while before there is another surge, and that might have to come from a new innovation that makes all these alts mainstream accessible. Right now people have all these coins and they dont know what they even do.
Just a wild guess off a gut feeling.

Just wondering what people think of 'restricted country' citizens participating in ICOs.
I am somewhat interested in Spectre, which has an ICO for the next few days, however they are very clear that US participants are not allowed. I dont want to get them (or myself) into trouble, but at the same time, there are no real laws that say my participation in cryptos is illegal.
Anyone have an idea what could happen? No VPN - just I give them ETH and they give me coins. Could they take them back?

Potcoin (POT) exploded today. I happened to take a sizeable position with them purely due to the name. Was thinking of selling off after learning about their strange connection with Dennis Rodman and his North Korea visits. Am considering attempting to sell off on the high now, and either buy back at a dip or reposition in some newer cryptos
Either way, kudos Potcoin!! My plan actually worked haha

I thought they were only reporting transactions of 20k in a year... i am well under that and would really have no plans of reporting. Even though I am up on the year, I am probably breakeven throughout my lifetime of playing with cryptos..
ripple almost hit .90 before crashing to .65, back up in the .70s now. I bought in 2 days ago at .25

gawd!
So I sold off all my diversified funds to get into BTC because of the fork and airdrop - in doing so I lost out on a huge upswing by all my coins, only to see BTC tumble and have no idea if ill ever even get the airdrop.
If I just would have held onto my portfolio it would be 5x what its currently worth. I am lacking some fundamental self-control or something. Really dont see an entry point in anything right now. Am just watching what little money I have dwindle to nothing.

did you pull out at your ICX stop loss? I am still in, just wondering what your timeframe for this was.

Definitely identify with you on buy and hold, I have easily missed out on 20k by being too trigger happy. The market keeps giving me chances too, so hopefully I get one of these right.
For the time being I am out of all positions and all in BTC until something looks right. The Shroomery is pretty much my main source of info, as well as this cryptocartel thing someone here recommended. If anyone here hasn't joined that chat channel you should, they are accurate, and free. Even if you don't use their signals you can at least track the flow of the market.

Guh, just have slowly turned 7k into 4k, and seriously its been like getting out of a coin, only to watch it immediately explode, while whatever i sell into drops. I guess the emotional aspect is overwhelming haha. especially when everyone else is making a killing. feel cursed.
whats funny is i jokingly put $50 into the space for my brother in law, and thats worth nearly $1000. So my plays for other people are killing it, but my personal plays have been god awful. And I know what youre about to say, just do for yourself what you would do for your brother in law - NO it will not work. then we will both be broke.
sorry, just needed to vent. UGH Blast you Murphys Law!!!
