Thanks for the advice! I've sold crypto at a loss before and I've always felt stupid because it would go back up in the near future. I understand that stop loss is important when day trading normal stocks but I've been having trouble figuring out where the floor and ceiling is on crypto. I guess I'd be better off taking the 1% loss on the trade in a market that bounces -/+ 1% a dozen times an hour. The hold would just slow me down because I could be making more profitable trades with the capital and the trade can get much worse if I hold it.

100% HODL next time the market takes a 50% dump

ETC just took a dip, might be a good time to jump in and leave once it goes back to around $6

ETC is posed to spike
Im thinking double the current price in the near future
Most of the cryptos on robinhood have spiked already
Its ETC's time to shine

I mean that is essentially how the whole financial industry works. People want to make money trading, so when ever the price dumps to a point outside of what it "should" be someone will hop in and buy it

Aside from the value of crypto based on speculation, there is a vast infrastructure of independent computers dedicating their processing power to making transactions occur. That in of itself adds significant value.

Its kinda like how roads exist because there is value in people getting around that the toll man realizes so he fronts the money to build the road for the right to make money off of it

I cant stop imagining some code monkey at the exchange "accidently" hitting the crash server button to stock up on a personal account

No one will notice right?

Honestly, I'd just throw my money at Steel companies at this point, raw materials is going to be the best play in the market this year

I honestly like how crypto has insane volatility on the hour as a smaller account. I have lots of free time so its easy to throw half of my account in, wait for it to jump a little, then cash out several times a day

So I had this mining idea but I don't know if its realistic

Get a motherboard with ten slots, put a riser on each slot, fill up all the slots with shitty graphics cards from used electronics that will print about $1 a month per card, free electricity

I would guess that the cards will start to pop after use but how frequently will they pop?

Can get lots of used electronics cheap now

I would guess it would be better to purchase one high end card but they are hard to find now

Maybe get a used one after bitcoin cools off?

Maybe get several middle of the road cards?

That was a really informative video

It's pretty crazy how accredited investors get a 30% discount on GBTC

The technology behind crypto is not going anywhere anytime soon, its going to keep improving and there is always going to be volatility somewhere to profit off of

Still think ETC is going to pump again in the near future, it went up from 6 to 9 and has support at 7

I know lots of people with laptops and other similar electronics that are sitting around gathering dust, I think with some shrewd negotiation they can be obtained for a low price.

Is it feasible to have a shit load of bottom tier units mining shitcoins without having shit profit?

I fucking love cryptocurrency, this technology is still in its infancy and is not going anywhere anytime soon. The markets will rise and fall but the concepts are there and there's always another option to swing into
