I just so happened to get started in BTC yesterday due to  a purchase that only accepted it. I'm not new to investments but really just mutual funds I don't have to do shit with.

After looking at the history I ended up buying an extra $300 in BTC and give it a whirl. Pretty exciting couple days. My timing could've been really good or really bad, we'll see.

Been pretty lucky on some moves lately between BTC,  Etherum, lumens and BTC cash. Selling high and buying low. Up about 40%.

I threw 50 bucks at tezos this morning. Hope I didn't miss the gold rush.

It's a blood bath. Probably a good thing that I don't have extra capitol lying around this close to the holidays or I'd be buying now.
Instead I'm converting some more BTC ro XTZ thinking theres more headroom for growth with XTZ.

My start in crypto was out of necessity because my MHRB supplier started accepting only BTC for payment. Been hooked on trading ever since. I'm not a big player but have about $900 USD floating around in 6 or so different currencies.

I have long term investments in mutual funds but enjoy the day trading of crypto.

When I see some of these crypto's that are up 10, 20, even 70,000% all I can think is man I hope I'm on the receiving end of that one day.

I traded another 200 BTC for XTZ. I hope it has the long term growth potential of a BTC or ethereum.

My timing for tezos was pretty good. Bought small 2 months ago and hit it hard (for my budget) a month ago. All in trades,  no new cash. Made almost 300 bucks.

Sort of.. I'm in it for the long term but that's what I like about crypto, making quick day trades on your phone if an opportunity looks right. The markets fluctuate so fast.

If you want my advice, don't daytrade your long term holds. At the very least put a tiny fraction of what you own on the market to try and get in trade with but if you're like most people you'll come up at a loss.

It's far better to invest in projects you believe will do well and then take profits when the time is right. Don't get greedy kinda thing.

Tezos is a long term hold for ne. The nice thing about tezos is if you hold a significant amount you're probably making decent profits back from staking (baking)

If tezos hits like $15 I'm pretty sure it will approach levels of being able to pay off many of my bills each month. I'm already surprised at how much I make monthly..it's nuts

I agree. But, if you're like me a late bloomer in crypto without much capital to invest you need to make some moves if you want to turn hundreds into thousands. I believe in XTZ and working to own a lot of it over the next few years. Just don't have the bankroll to fund it.

sh4d0ws is offering sage advice.  It doesn't matter if you're trading with $100 or $100,000, it's very difficult to come out ahead if you are rapidly moving in and out of trades on the regular.  With steadfast discipline to risk management, trading around your core positions can help increase your total reward.  However, the amount of discipline required and the general increase in stress and time spent to actively trade, just won't work for most people.

To each their own for strategies, and I won't knock yours or anyone else. I have mutual funds that I leave alone and let people more educated in traditional markets than myself manage. One thing I do believe about smaller cryptos is their susceptibility to influence because of smaller volume. This is how the rich stay rich and can't lose. A small volume crypto like XLM that's only around 510 million isn't that difficult to raise by a percentage point or 2 from an investor with enough capital. Which in turn triggers a massive buying frenzy propelling it even further. When it drops .5% they get out and it plummets.

This recent surge across the entire market doesn't really apply but if you can pick up on indications of influence in small markets you're invested in there are opportunities to make money.

I'd love to dump a few grand in cryptos that I like and let it ride but I had a shit year last year at work and I'm off over the winter so I have lots of time on my hands to watch trends. And grow mush.

I cashed in on BTC at 10,300 waiting for XTZ to dip down to about 2.50 to buy more XTZ. I bet it dips in the next day or two.

Good luck LC. I'm banking on XTZ taking a dive to 2.50 before I buy again but we'll see what the market does. Cheers to all of us getting rich.

The difficult part is gauging when it's going to cool down. In the meantime BTC has gone up 27% in the last month while XTZ has gone up 155%. Hard to argue that trading assets from BTC to XTZ in the past month hasn't been fruitful.

BTC nearly hit 13000 back in June then cooled down. Perhaps that's a benchmark of where to gauge where the market will top off.

I dropped in another hundred at 2.95 this morning. Seems like it may be running out of steam. Hoping it gets back up to 3.45 or so then I may pull a big chunk out and wait for a big dip.
