There is a lot of risk in the unmatched volatility of the crypto exchanges.
My personal order for Monero is buy up to 60$
I suggest people like forum users who are interested in crypto currency check out steemit and earn steem to start exchanging without as much risk.

i will give you the easiest click-entry guide i can explain in one post. To keep it on topic, and lead you to using the exchanges that will have the "big dogs" including Tezos when they are offered.
1. Never invest what you cant lose. The market has to consolidate large gains and will make you wait much like a mycelium.
2. get an account with Coinbase. They have a website and app. Coinbase is a USD to BTC ETH LTC exchange. That's where you can actually buy those coins with your bank or credit card. (note: more importantly this is where you can withdraw from your currency to your bank.)
2.5 it's not as safe to leave them in coinbase as it would be to put them in your own crypto wallet. moving them will cost a tiny fee.
3. get Jaxx wallet app with Shapeshift onboard. or another wallet of your choice with the same features. It's a secure place to hold your coins and you can shapeshift them into some other currencies. Shapeshift makes that easy inside Jaxx because they make the 'sales' and 'buys' to exchange them for you.
4. use Jaxx to shapeshift and diversify into the other coins available if you wish, or keep them. if you just want to trade to other coins keep them in BTC. until you want to expand to #5 below
5. Join poloniex.com, join bittrex.com those exchanges open you up to a world of crypto-coin trading but only accept deposits in specific currencies like BTC and perhaps ETH again now. enable to 2 factor authentication and protect yourself. You can exchange into 764+ coins.
6. you can use things like cryptocompare.com to keep things easy to watch in your portfolio. or coinmarketcap.com to see the current rates on all coins.
hey im almost 40 at level 3 and its 6:39am forgive me for not adding the links. ill edit later :D:D:D:D ratings always worth a handy!
