I'm loving watching it grow. Think I could start growing some clones?

I went to a place called Fairlyand Pond aptly named. I found what I think is a cortinarius or lepista nuda. It's the wrong time of year and temperature though for lepista muda. It's not slimy.. But enjoy.

Nice pics. Definitely cortinarius. Notice the veil remnants have rusty brown spores on them.

Went out hunting with my buddy Colonel today and found Chanterelles for the first time?! And early in the season at that. Didn't think they were them until I plucked one and saw the gills. I can't wait for the season to really start.
Cantharellus roseocanus

I thought chanterelles fluted up more than that... they could just be really young then

They are extremely young. Im going to check on them in a week after they have grown a bit. I am confident they are chanterelles though. They smelled sweet.

Omg Duder, my part of Illinois has been really dry so I haven't seen any good chanterelles in about a week. Oysters are moving in. Getting some prints on those. Found some Chickens pins today, too. Old men and black staining polys whatnot.
This was a pretty decent chanterelle I got a couple weeks back when it used to rain in IL. Those were better times...

I think your oysters might be angel wings. There ok as long as you don't eat them a lot. Pleurocybella porrigens

I don't think those chaterelles are going to get any bigger Duder. I think they are the small chanterelle and they look a bit buggy and pas their prime. I found my first chanterelles recently and they looked nice but had worm surprises inside so I didn't get to eat my first ones. http://mushroom-collecting.com/mushroomcraterellus.html
