Why are several coir and organic products listed on a few vendors sites with California Proposition 65 warnings?

Could be the plastic bag it comes in, could be just being cautious. I know EU manufacturers who just slap the label on without really looking into anything, its comical bullshit.

Quote:
There is no penalty for posting an unnecessary warning sign.[26] Because of the overuse of the vague warning, the ubiquitous signs ultimately communicate very little information to the end user.[16][27] This problem has been recognized by California courts,[28][29] advocates,[16][30] and businesses.

I've stayed at a hotel in california with those warning signs on the building itself. it was literally like "this building contains chemicals known by the state of california to cause cancer, ect". shit is a little out of control
