I have the $30 pesto dehydrator.  I use it to do all sorts of shit.  But hopefully I will be using it for cubes soon.  Unless I'm a fuck-tard and can't grow a damn cake! Hopefully my cubes turn out better than this rubix cube!:solved:

its horrifying that so many people nonchalantly, admit to awful and discrasful practices.

buy a fucking dehydrator. ...oven tek is a last resort only because how unpractical it is.

buy a dehydrator. if i could id give them away to you people.

and crank that shit up. 90f is too cold. dry hot and quick. 180-200.

I can't find dehydrator in my shitty country so i oven dry my shrooms without noticing any loss of potency!

I put the shrooms on the highest rack, oven at 180, door is cracked and i point a fan on the oven, its like a big dehydrator i think.

i totally agree

the only reason i start with a fan is so that they dont rot while they are waiting their turn in the food dehydrators

i only have 2 dehydrators, and when im doing lots of monos at a time i often have harvests that cant even close to fit.

i just leave them on the colanders in front of the fans  so that they partially dry out and dont degrade between harvesting and the dehydrator. need to buy more dehydrators.

So what's the issue with slow and semi-quick (usually 12 hrs)?  I've always read heat is a no-no when it comes to potency - but hell, I'm probably missing the latest updates...

I notice when I fan dry them a bit they retain color.

Straight to drying they turn black or at least deep blue and no tans or browns left.

1. the longer it takes to dry the more actives can degrade. so you want to dry fast.

2. actives in mushies do not degrade until atleast 325.. maybe 350f

you are 'preserving them' as quickly as you can. you wouldnt freeze meat with a ice cube and a fan right? similar concept.
