I'm pre-sealing .5 micron bags... advice?

Hello,
I'm wanting to keep a pre-sealing .5 micron large bag procedure (cubensis, monotubs) and realize that the large pore filter is a liability. What can I do to lessen its dangers. I am most concerned with hanging the bags to fill them with room air after they come out of the PC all vacuumed.
As a side note, is anyone out there successfully pre-sealing .2 micron bags, and if so, whats your procedure?

Gasses should expand out the filter although when I do bags I do not pre seal as the bag expands a bit in the pc. Folding the bag over and taping the top to the bag and around it loosely always works for me. You can use tyvek down the shoot as a barrier as well but I have never sealed before pc, always after noc up! If you do I would use the tyvek inside the bag. Hope this helps

When you fold the bag over, does the filter patch go on the outside, or do you wrap the bag fold over the filter to protect it from the steam & water in the PC?

Unsure why one would use RR's tyvek tek if you are pre-sealing. Maybe I'm missing something.

I folded them in but I did not seal them so they were able to expand.

No tyvek... seal neatly, removing as much air from inside the bag as possible. Fold top of bag over, sandwiching the filter between the layers of plastic, to keep it dry. Pack bags tightly in your sterilizer, so they have no room to expand. Do not open hot, or they will inflate.

PirateSwazey (great name BTW) "seal neatly" means heat seal, yes?

Thank you kind sir.
Yes, seal it back neatly with an impulse sealer. No wrinkles!
I put a piece of masking tape on the top of the bag to fix it to the bottom, that way the bags come out perfectly from the sterilizer. Without doing this, many times the top will be crinkled and make for a PITA when sealing post inoculation. If you are planning on using LC, this is not such a big deal, but definitely recommend for G2G!

Does anyone know why the water in the bottom of the PC doesn't conduct heat to the jar or bag the same as the steam? It has to be all the same temp, right?
