Oh okay, I'll wipe the walls down and remove the mist I just put in. No problem.

If it stinks, it stinks, nothing you can do at this point. It is common for bacteria to smell in general though yes.
Don't bother misting the sides, nothing grows from the plastic so it doesn't need water, just mist the cakes. The humidity comes from water evaporating from the perlite when the air comes in from under the SGFC and makes the moisture rise up with it.
You don't need to fan it for 5 minutes a day, if it makes you happy you can give the lid a few wafts every time you mist to clear out the previously humid air to allow room for more evaporation but it honestly doesn't matter.
You need to put some jars or canned food or something underneath each corner of the SGFC to elevate it like 4 inches or so to allow air to flow in from underneath, or it won't work.
Dust does not matter at all, fruiting is not a sterile process and you should just turn the light off when you go to bed, a 12 on 12 off light cycle is fine.
I would strongly recommend replacing the cover with the original lid with holes drilled in it.
The humidity meter isn't useful, the only humidity which matters is the humidity in the microclimate of your vermiculite casing layer around the cake and you don't need to use a meter what your eyes can tell you. If you use the SGFC correctly and mist until it's glistening when it needs it, the humidity will be fine and you will be rewarded with pins.

Okay thanks. The original lid with holes in it already is there I just put a hand towel over it. I removed it now as you said. I was told it was a bad idea to mist the cakes! How much should I mist them? Thanks for the reply and info!

Hey! I spend most of my work day on here! I thought they were paying me to learn how to grow shrooms, not be an electrician.

Yup. I was supposed to install a "new" toilet tank on one of the trains we have in the shop. These assholes bring it to me, and the bottom was rusted out and leaking! Fucking disgusting. Now I'm just waiting till 2 when my shift is over. I work on trains, not houses obviously.

Personally, I got the notion from growing a supagro premade kit last year. Missing the sides of the bags is a must!
I guess the perlite is all I need here. I just sprayed the fuck out of my cake now too. It's mostly covered in vermiculite with some white patches showing but I'm not too worried.
