Fruiting temps after pinning
    #24268580 - 04/24/17 02:19 PM (7 years, 8 months ago)

Hey so quick question, if I needed to drop the temp to mid to low 60's to finally induce pinning, am I ok to raise temps back up to room temps or do I need to keep the temps that low through the whole fruiting process?

Well I tried pinning at room temp but wouldn't so I started to slowly lower the temp until they did and once I hit about 65 they pinned great but now its way colder than I prefer and was worried that if I raised the temp again it would prevent the pins from maturing. btw, my incubation temp was about 75 which I think may have had something to do with it.

Temperature range is one of the least important pinning triggers of the 4 pinning triggers.

A substrate will fruit with little regard to what temperature it is, so long as the temperature range is suitable for the speci of mushroom being researched.

Fresh air exchange is the number 1 pinning trigger by causing moisture to begin evaporate from the surface of the substrate.  Once the mycelium has a good foothold on the bulk substrate it'll begin to fruit, as well.

Full colonization is the first in the series of primary triggers.
