BRF to Bulk Substrate (Faster Method)

I wanted to experiment with 4oz jars. The idea behind it was to use 12 inoculated 4oz jars and use 3 jars per casing (bulk substrate)... so you'd end up with 4 Casing trays.
I figured since colonized substrate is necessary to spawn to bulk anyway, it wouldn't really matter the size of the cakes you use because you break them up anyway.
OUTCOME:
I inoculated 12 4oz jars, and 2 half pint jars with the same strain.... the 4oz jars are already fully colonized (about 9 days) and the half pint jars aren't even at 50% yet. The mycelium produced in the 4oz jars is some of the healthiest I've ever seen... Vibrant white with super nice threads. So if you're like me and can't afford a pressure cooker to move onto rye etc. and you're still working with BRF cakes... try this.
Cheers

Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.
