My latest confession:
I'm not actually enjoying the taste of my Grey Oysters. They're fine in a stir fry/pasta dish, but on their own they have too strong a seafood taste. I really hate seafood. But this is gonna push me towards Shiitake, cause I do enjoy them quite a bit.

Preach brother. I'm taking a hiatus from weed and videogames (111 days so far) so I'd be full blown depressed if it weren't for Mush Cult. Seeing my first pins made me giddy

I don't know what it is about the hobby, but it's grounding. I think this is why it can help people struggling even before harvest.
It gave me something to focus on. Something to put my mind on and be happy about even when the world was falling. It kept my feet on the ground.

You hit the nail on the head shomann...when I don't have something cultivation related going on...I tend to get lost in my head for the simple fact that I don't have anything else to keep my mind occupied...it definitely helps keep me grounded and focused in tasks at hand...because there is always something cultivation related to do

this hobby has always kept my wondering mind at bay. in good times and bad, cultivation is a tool to expand the mind in many different ways. focus negative energies into positive. use your boredom to be productive.
i love the taste of blue oysters. i don't eat them raw though. i like a stir fry or mixing them into tacos!

I've never liked mushrooms; always ask to have them removed when I eat out. Your mushroom taco recipe is one of the reasons I wanted to grow some edibles.

In case it hasn't been said yet (I missed about 20 pages or so), I often think that I should get a 5 gal pail of LC going for the next time I see a fresh pile of wood chips. Just so I can sneak in there in the middle of the night and inoculate. Even if I never see it again; one can dream.
Might have to create a tek for that. Mr.Mouse's Mass propagation tek...
I like the sounds of that.
