Hey guys, first timer here, im currently growing some brf cakes and after putting them in the sgfc they began to grow a little white fluff on the tops, this fluff is starting to secrete a yellowish liquid and its now starting to bruise a blue/green (although i think its green because the yellowish liquid is above the blue bruising. Im looking for an experienced grower to tell me what i should do and if its bad how to prevent it in the future. Thanks

They look pretty ill looks like mycogone. How did you sterilize your cakes and inoculate them?

Spore syringe and steam sterilize. Can i not save this batch because the mushrooms look great its just on the tops of the cakes, maybe i could scrape it off? I figured of it were a serious contam it wouldve spread a lot more. Theyve been like this for a while now, minus the discoloration

You can let them grow out theyre fruiting anyway no use in scrapping them if theyre fruiting no dont scrape anything youll do more damage than good. Did you flame sterilise the needle between jars, use a SAB and how long didyou steam for? Spore syringes are never clean and can harbour contams and usually do pf tek is quite forgiving but if and when you move to grains or LC or LI you may want to look at agar to ensure clean cultures and clean grows.

Doesn't look like mycogone to me, close but not quite. Just metabolites, and lots of linear bacteria. Very nasty looking actually.

Im still not great at spotting mycogone tbf. OP let them grow out get what you can from them watch out for them getting worse turning moldy or getting trich.

Would it be unwise to remove the questionable growths

Yeah it isn't until very recently I've been confident with mycogone. Blobs look so similar too, I falsely called quite a few blobs as myco as well.
If you ensure your conditions are good, there's not much else you can do with this grow. Toss when it molds. I wouldn't remove the blobs.
As for the inoc process.. Sounds alright to me. If every jar has bacteria, chances are your syringe had a lot of bacteria in it.

Yeah dont cut them up, the obvious bits you can see arent just one localised spot you can remove, its all over and you will damage any mycelium that could produce more fruits.

Main issue. RH way too high, not enough FAE. Don’t mist your cakes, get a hygrometer n keep that shit under 100%. Looks like before the bacteria got one over on your mycelium your cakes were suffocating.
