Use vials more than once

Good day,
I have always used syringes. My question now is, can I use a vial more than once? Vials contain 10ml; so for a smaller setup I won't need the whole vial. Is it possible to use for example half of the vial and then close it somehow and use the rest next time (3-6months)?

Yes, but you should probably store it in the fridge. However, i made a lot of bad experience with bought spore syringes and storing them didnt make it any better for me. Id recommend you to make a spore print asap in order to fill your own syringes. Good Luck and Greetings

ONLY use DROPS of solution instead of CC/ML per jar. The more solution you use, the more bacteria you are shooting in the jar. ALL prints have bacteria on them. So in return all syringes have bacteria in them. NO WAY AROUND IT. Some more than other based partially on how the print was taken.

What do you mean vial? The syringe barrel?
Like Hatter said if you're using grains then just a single drop is enough. PF jars we usually use more, half ML or a Ml divided up between the 4 inoculation holes.
Sure you can use just a little of your syringe and then store it! Of course you can, just flame sterilize the syringe before inoculations and after when you put it away. I store mine in ziplocks in the fridge.

What I understand are vials like syringes but have a higher concentration of spores. Here is what I am up to: https://www.avalonmagicplants.com/mushrooms/spore-vials/en-magic-mushrooms-spore-vials-mexicana-jalisco

Ah I gotcha, in the States the syringes come full with a luer lock plug in the end. I've never seen them in medical vials.
I would just take the 10ML syringe + pull it all out at once, store what you don't use in the syringe.
But you could leave it in the vial, the injection port on drug vials is self healing and will close up- you could just take out what you're going to use if you like, * provided you sterilize the needle with flame each time *
But I wouldn't expect the spore concentration to be any higher. Not that it even matters, even the lightest spore syringes have way more than you will ever need, one drop is sufficient .

I prefer to use vacuum sealed vials for long-term storage because my syringes cycle too fast to justify stowing them away for years at a time.
Just remember to replace the lost volume inside the vial with sterile air, or else you can't pull back the syringe plunger.
