Building subfloor 10'x16'

10'x15' Carport Bolted to subfloor

Building Endwalls

End walls painted and drainage addressed

Insulation for endwalls

1st layer of plastic

Insulation for top as well as second layer of plastic

Sunshade Cover

Front Doors

Humidifier
Removed the front grill from the unit to help prevent rouge water droplets.

Flow rate meter, inline SS filter and solenoid valve. Still shopping around for an enclosure to house the electronics.

It's working

Air Exchange Version 1.0
6" 440 cfm fan. Took Grower's advice from his videos and mounted it vertical for easy cleanout. Installed a damper for the incoming ducting so it could be adjusted easily. Air comes in from outside, mixes with existing air before blowing downward and out of the ducting

I think it might work! We shall see

I'll update this post as I build! :woot:

:wooyeah:

Nice. Hope you have as much success as your cyan patch.

You going to use shelving racks or hanging logs?

Nice! Glad you finally started your own thread on this.
What was the budget for this build, you got a break down?
What are you doing for air circulation?

:mushroom: My trade list :mushroom:
Looking for strong terrestrial fruiters for an outdoor beds experiment:
Agaricus Bitorquis, Agaricus Augustus, Agaricus blazei/subrufescens, Stropharia Rugoso-annulata, Clitocybe Nuda (blewits), and any species or other genus that you think work outdoors.
Also, any commercially viable Pleurotus, cold or hot strains.
Thanks for the Q&A, trades, and all the posters & teachers that have come before us  :skol:

Don't really have a breakdown of the costs, I'm at around 1000-1300 bucks so for the way it stands now..

For air exchange I was planning on using a 6-8 inch variable speed fan blowing inwards. The entire chamber will be sealed, Air will come in the top, swirl around with the existing air then exit the 2x4" slots in the bottom I have along the sides for the water drainage.

For humidification, I was going to use a Aquafog SS700 direct feed that can do 1-3 gallons of water per hour. I like that it can mount from the ceiling and not take up floor space. Anyone here have an aquafog unit?

For heating cooling I'm looking at the mini split units. They seem to be much more quite and their heating efficiency is better than any window AC units I'm seeing on the market.

Humidity and spores and mini splits don't mix.  Unless you plan on harvesting before dropping any spores.

I would love to hear of an alternative way to heat and cool without issues. Do you think that humidifier would work well for this chamber? They seem very reliable and easy to maintenance for the price.

Hydronic heating and cooling is something I wish I knew more about.

A hydrofogger would also work very well.

if you live in a region with low humidity, a swamp cooler works wonders...high humidity..not so much

that's how it is here where i live too...and summer temps hit 90-100...keeping my grow chamber in growing temps this summer is going to be our biggest issue probably...right now we are planning on combating it by growing yellow and pink oysters from Aloha that do well at 85F

Thank you!

drake89 what do you use for heating/cooling in your fruiting chamber? If the mini split isn't ideal I would love to hear of other options.

I'm currently drafting out a box build to house a window unit that will be pulling air from outside through a house filter directly into my chamber...hoping that will get my temps down..i can also duct it into incubation

I am in the process of building a small 16'x35' commercial operation. The process I went through on the general layout is given in https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24125810/fpart/all. There are additional threads dealing with other aspects.  The people on this forum are awesome; I could not have developed the plans without them.

For temperature control in my grown rooms, I have a small 3'x6' x 9' high room, i.e. a plenum, where my window air conditioner and electric baseboard heaters will be installed.  When the grow room needs to be cooled, the AC unit kicks on and cools the 3x6 room until it reaches 58 oF (this can be varied and I will have to play with it a bit to find the optimum temperature; it also depends on the AC unit specs), at which time a fan kicks on blowing the 58oF air into the grow room.  The 3x6 room air is being replace with fresh outside air.  When the temperature in the 3x6 room reaches say 60 oF, the fan stops and waits for the plenum room temperature to reach 58 oF before turning on again. This repeats until the grow room is at the desired temperature, at which time the AC unit stops. The same system will be used for heat.

The advantage of this system is only clean air moves through the window AC unit and does not get junked up with spores. Also, the same room/system will control the temperature in both of my grow rooms using an Arduino controller that I am currently building.  I will use different fans to move the air from the 3x6 room to each grow room. This will allow different growing conditions for each room.

you guys are on to something thank you!
