That's very interesting,
Is that just a fish heater in a glass bottle?? Have you got water in the bottom of the container as well or does it just get the warmth off the water in the bottle??

Hi, I'm looking for pink oyster grain spawn that's more appropriately packaged than the mushroom box one. Does anyone know anything ?

Actually pets at home have a nice silica gel litter with indicators. Looks good and is packaged in paper... better for the environment and that
get a food dehydrator 24£ on ebay

You should use heat with the oven door open, heat denatures the enzymes in the mushrooms which break down the actives. Silica is not gonna get your hard earned fruit cracker dry in enough time to stop potency loss, if at all. Just eat them fresh if possible.

I saw 5L bags of verm in dealz for 1.50euro, this shop is owned by poundland so they should be in poundland for £1 it appearred to be very fine, the bags in dealz were not as visible as the one shown in this link.
http://www.poundland.co.uk/charlie-dimmock-horticultural-vermiculite-5l
verm can be got cheap in very large quantities, but the regular 10L bags you see are usually quite expensive. £7.87 in homebase http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/gro-sure-vermiculite-plant-food---10l-136459
They might have coir 650g bricks and pressure misters too, both £1 (not sure about the UK but many things are not the standard 1.50euro here, they have better quality pressure misters for more, but the standard seems decent enough).

I run my dehydrator at 70 degrees C

Where the hell do you lot live that need to make incubators? Dont you have central heating? Ive grown all through the winter without the need for shit like that. My heating hasnt been off for over a month and my grows are in the conservatory. This time of year there is no need for it unless you live in a wooden shack with no heaters on the top of a snowy mountain, if thats the case you need to focus on moving to a house with heating not growing mushrooms. Sticking stuff in hot dark boxes is just gonna increase your odds at a total failure thats why we stopped using incubators and dark boxes/rooms like 20 years ago.

It's the only common factor that I've found in ridiculously slow colonisation times that don't involve contams
I do have central heating but the radiators are positioned very wastefully directly under bay windows so the heat just merrily rises from the radiator and dissipates into the atmosphere. Easier to leave the fucker off and put another layer of clothes on
My jars are always absolutely freezing to the touch and I don't buy the thing about the mycelium making it noticeable hotter inside - tell it to my colonisation times. Sure, it'll rise a few degrees, but jars are utterly icy.

Maybe i just live in the tropical part of UK near north wales but i doubt it. I dont get why you lot have it so cold? Ive currently got my fan on full blast blowing on me with no duvet on, may be partly due to withdrawal of codeine tbf but im boiling. My dishes i made a few days back are colonising fast in the conservatory with no heating. Weird.
