I inoculated these cakes on April 7th-April 10th. Mycelium appeared on 2 cakes 6 days after noccing them up. Now I'm waiting on two to germinate.
How does this mycelium look?

Hopefully you meant inoculation not incubation in your thread title.
If you're incubating stop it. It's only a detriment and allows contams to grow easier along with damaging your mycelium in most cases. You do not need an incubator.

Nope totally meant incubation. Technically these are incubating whether I have an incubator or not, which I don't.

I've noticed a lot of people with an attitude on here, not to mention big egos. Not a fan of getting talked down to, not a fan of seeing people make an ass out of themselves cause they wanna play the apathetic know-it-all cool guy card. I don't buy it, and the mushroom doesn't either.

and who exactly was talking down to you? i see no one being anything but friendly and helpful...
and then you randomly complain about the helpful people.... and say THEY have egos
not really a good way to make friends, or learn mushroom culture principles. neither is being coy when someone points out how your title is misleading, and explains that you dont need an incubator
just saying

People are people, you just gotta sort it out. Most are very helpful, considering they put a lot of time and effort into a grow and method, then give it away, answer questions, help newbies, sort through untrue bs, and call out FUD. Some people post while tired and work long hrs, others post while "experiemntin" some. Post with no clue and just spread disinfo. You'll figure it out, if you haven't yet. Look for TCs, and talk to people that seem most like yourself, if that will help. Ignore or block the others if that works for ya. And if none of it works for you, then there are other sites too!

We could go back and forth but the truth is you have nothing to do with it, and at the same time you're putting me down by saying those things as well. I'm not saying everyone on here is a dick, but I've read some posts that make me think some people are out for themselves. Thanks for the perspective though.

I've always had a teacher talk down to me, his student. When you post a question, that's exactly what you are. If you don't want to listen to someone because they're talking down to you, you need some thicker skin.
And fwiw colonization is colonization. Although incubation is another way of saying it, to us who see noobs here every day, it's unecessarily heating up your jars.

If old users on here weren't factually honest then a lot more noobs would be ruining perfectly good grows. People don't have egos, they have the correct information. If you're so bothered by another then it is your ego.

lets not prove OPs point by flaming his thread. i want to see more pics. someones first grow shouldnt be us hating on them for their preconceived attitudes about us.
what go you into shrooms? you are using a shutgun fruiting chamber correct? the more you plan, the easier it is.
be proactive rather than reactive and your mushrooms will reward you.

I'm sorry it really irks me when someone who posts here with the intention of helping, and the op gets all pissy because they're talking down to him. If that's what a person is like, that's extremely disrespectful, rude, and altogether annoying AF. If you said that in a classroom, "teacher stop it you have a big ego and you are talking down to me," you'd be kicked out..
People on here help others. Just because they're clarifying you aren't doing something wrong, doesn't give op the right to say "oh your ego is so big, don't talk down to me."
Back when I started I got tons of facepalms, and people just outright told me what's wrong, and I thanked them. Because that's what respectful people do.
