Hi all this is my first monotub, and I noticed some almost discoloration on some of my pins, they have this almost blue hugh on them, should I be worried? Also what does this mean. None of the other pins seem to have it.
The strain is penis envy btw.

Here is the full monotub, and some zoomed in photos.

Well, those aren't pins at all.
That's a mutation. I call them blumpkins

I read up that the bumps form with Penis Envy for their first generation sometimes for their first flush. They are forming their stem.
I would still like to know the blue

When you say stressed I am assuming with lack of water, I will add some more, I figured with water condensation still being on the side of the tub I would be alright. but i will mist more often then. Any other advice?

You aren't growing a tub. What's it in? Do you have pictures?

I am growing in a tub. It is in coco coir mix and vermiculite. I provide 12 hours of light on it every day.
Here are pictures

What was your spawn to substrate ratio Or how much spawn jars did you use and then one brick of coir and two quarts of verm? Or what?
Did you use a top layer when you made the tub? Like, is there a layer of just substrate on the top to cover exposed grains?

I used 5 quarts of WBS completely colonized jars, I then used 2 quarts of Vermiculite, and 1 whole brick of coco choir, and one handful of gypsum.
I put on a top layer of the spawn over the mixed in substrate. Which if I am using the right terms is called a casing layer.

Pesudcasing if it was the same substrate just covering the grains at spawning. I think that has a lot to do with odd performance like that in some of the pe varieties
