Super noob first grow. In process of fruiting and white fuzz.

Instead of using jars i used glasses and tinfoil. Everything in the process i did by the book and everything has worked. It took them about a month to colonize (im guessing because i didnt keep it in optimum tempuratures.) But they colonized well, one even grew an entire mushroom while still colonizing (it broke off during washing it, i ate it later, nothing happened). I dunked for 12 hours, rolled, then ghetto rigged a FC because i only have two cakes and didnt wanna get a big container for a shotgun fc (mostly because i have no room for it and still be inconspicuous). I had to go out of town for a week so i just placed each cake in a plastic container with holes all over, and placed my cakes onto tinfoil on the wet perlite. i come back to find that my cakes had an uneven white fuzz on them, not sure if cobweb fuzz. Also one cake has only one mushroom growing out of it. My question, if somebody is so kind as to help, is what should i do about the fuzz (wash it? H2O2? Whats scratching?), and if theres any way of avoiding the shotgun fc. If anyone took the time to read this and help me out with my problem i would be eternally grateful, please crack some eggs of knowledge also since ive been gone for a week i havent fanned or misted. Is this something i MUST do regularly or is it just for optimal results? And if i must fan, does that just mean letting the cakes breath for a bit with no lid, or literally putting a fan to it? I read that someone just hand fanned it. Please help a brotha out ! Thank yous!!

I think that white fuzz is simply suffocating myc.
That cake is choking, you need way more air.

So would you recommend making the holes bigger? Or just taking the lid off and letting them breathe for a few hours? Or both

I would go with more holes, rather than bigger. If you look at a SGFC, they have little holes all over in a grid pattern. Including the bottom.
So I would put in way more holes and suspend the thing like on a rack or something. Maybe lose some perlite? You might be all around too late.
I only ever did one cake grow before moving to bulk subs and monotubs. So I'm far from an expert on SGFC's, PMP's, and BRF cakes.
Also your mushroom should be fine.

Fan the shit out of it I say. I'd get me a different container next time if it were me to, and I think that perlite looks a little dry. Good luck with this I hope it turns out.

Uhm, you may be in need of more help than him shortly.
What exactly are you trying to do in that pic? What TEk are you following?
Cause nothing about that picture looks conducive to growing cubes.

I'm not following any tek, just going off of what I know. It's a heater system and I got a pump for air exchange. It's working for me I'll be fruiting in this thing just like I did last time. I currently have ten jars that'll be ready to fruit before long and I'll upload some pics. Seems to me general knowledge and a good setup is all you need. That is all Im just trying to be of some help I don't claim to be an expert but I'm definetly not completely clueless. Shiiiiiit.

Heater? Do you have heat in your house? Unless your grow space is like 50 degrees you need no such thing.
Air pump? It's called the atmosphere. If you don't need an air pump to breathe, neither should your mushrooms.
What about light? They need some light to grow. If you starve them of light they do shitty and have no potency.
What kind of yield did you get out of this mushroom torture chamber?

I didn't weigh them I did get two trips with visuals and a huge body load. My brother also had a trip that lasted for like eight hours. This stuff like the air pump and the heater is what came with my first grow kit and I just kept it and it just works. I know the pump might not be needed but i feel like the heater is to stabilize the temp so it's constant the temperature does fluctuate a lot. I'm going to rig a light up when it starts fruiting. Here's a fucking pic dude. What do you think?

You want light during all stages of growth and like rhe poster above said unless its consistantly cold as fuck where you are you dont need to heat anything. Unless you are constantly shivering that tit is a huge contam vector. You should have taken that foil off after inoculation btw

They probably have plenty of moisture since they werent getting much air so no need to dunk. Id leave the lid off and see what happens

that chamber could work but it needs more holes and maybe a loose lid. dont be afraid to mist the cake. build a freckin sgfc for the mushrooms sake. that thing is literally a torture chamber. good choice of words.

I would PM a Trusted Cultivator (Bod, Pasty, ect) to come look at the thread. I wouldn't leave the lid off for to long to avoid moisture loss. But I would start with more holes for sure.

So what exactly does you tripping prove if you didn't weigh them. They could have been weak as hell, but you just happened to eat like an equivalent of 12 grams dry.
Your Myc produces heat as it grows. Your heater is doing nothing but promoting bacteria and stressing the Myc in the center. It's probably slowing you down.
Your foil is choking your myc too.
Your myc needs light to.
Why are your jars in a box?
You claim to have general knowledge of what you're doing, but everything your doing points to the contrary.

SO i poked more holes, lost some perlite, and misted the cakes with h202. Now for some reason, the tiny dick my cake had before has grown into a giant shroom. Thing is, out of both of my cakes only one shroom actually grew. Does this mean the cakes are still okay? i mean if it gave me one giant shroom does that count as the entire harvest? should i pluck it now? and after should i just try dunking and rolling both cakes again? (the other cake has nothing at all) it dropped a black powder all underneath it, im guessing those are the spores. also i have this other jar that i thought was contaminated, it has a tiny green spot thats been there ever since it started colonizing and never grew or anything

You need a prpper sgfc. You need to not let spores explode on everything. You need to never mist with peroxide and you need to just dunk no roll. Go ahead and cut that shroom out and pop it in your dehydrator

ok so i will dunk them and put them in a proper sgfc. and do i need a proper dehydrator to dry them or is there any chance they can dry on their own? or just eat them not completely dry?

You can eat them wet. They just don't store for more than a few days in the fridge.
Exposure to the air and water destroys psilocybin. You want to dry them as quickly as possible and put them in an airtight container.
You can dry them with fans and desiccants but it doesn't work as well. It takes several days and they will never get completely dry. They will spoil after a few weeks.
A food dehydrator is your best bet. You can get a new one for $40 or find them used for much less to basically free. A food dehydrator is just the kind of thing dumb white people buy because they think it would be cute to be all crafty and dry foods. Then they use once, and it fades into yet another sad plastic box cluttering their lives. Just like cake mixers, vacuum sealers, sewing machines, juicers ect.
Basically you put your mushrooms on it, crank it to high and forget about them for 12 hours.
