That's in front of a flowhood in the lab, bod.
The tub, and surface of the table were wiped down with alcohol along with the camera. Hands were glove wrapped, and alcohol soaked before the tub was placed in front of the hood, then opened.
The prints were taken in the fruiting room that had been wiped down with soap, and water from top to bottom one week ago. Showered, brushed teeth, and was wearing a freshly laundered pair of scrubs before entering the fruit area. A footbath was also used immediately before entering the fruit area.
Gloved hands were soaked in alcohol between taking each cap. After the the foil was full of caps the lid was placed back onto the tub.
The prints were moved into the lab this morning where they will sit in the sterile air of the flowhood until tomorrow when they are divided, and packed. Prints will be divided, and packed in front of the flowhood.

That polyfil was fresh from a new pillow, and is stuffed in the holes very tightly. There's no particulates getting through.
Prints for research are usually DIY generated prints, Not to say that it couldn't happen, but issues with cleanliness have not been detected in the several years of taking prints in this fashion.

I guess I would just do foil and something to cover in front of a hood rather than wiping down a tub with sanitizers

It's actually the same principle. Only portable. The tub is utilized as vessel to keep the prints protected, due to them being taken in a separate fruiting area, then having to be transferred into a separate lab area. The prints sit for a day in the fruiting area, then are transferred. They sit for another day in front of the flowhood, and are divided, and packed.
It's standard operating procedure to wipe all vessels, and tools before they are placed into the sterile airflow of the flowhood. Heck, in the research lab, all vessels, and tools get wiped with alcohol before entering the lab.

Please excuse the non-fancy, archaic print packing. They are as clean as the researcher could possibly accomplish. Divided, and packed in front of a flowhood.
