Just for the record, I did shake my jars at inoculation but posted the pics before the shake for aesthetics. They'll take forever if you leave the wedge on top. Very flattering however.
Looking good everyone!

Put the LGT to grain last night. Made 3 master jars off 3 pasty plates of 3rd transfer mycelium. That should allow me to expand to 30 jars and make 6 tubs.
Should be a month until I spawn this culture to a monotub.

From right to left, Lucy#1 to Lucy#4.

Each inoculated through the aspiration tube, straight to the bottom, for bottoms-up colonization. Details were shared in my previous post. The colonization pattern will look like this:

There's some carmelization going on with the grains. A 90minute cycle with pint jars at 20psi is no doubt a little excessive. I can't blame the grain for a bad jar. If it's carmelizing grain, it's killing endospores.

hey guys sorry for the delay, i been CRAZY busy (doing lots of exotics and edibles this year: i currently have tubs of Tamps, p mex galandoi, ps azures, pan cam goliath, p semperviva, pan cyan, pan bisp, pan trop, and i know i am forgetting something lol... also 10 different varieties of cubes on grain and fruiting (over 100 on agar ), and also have reishi, kings, pink oyster, agarita, oyster "497", cord m., lions mane, shaggy mane, wild oyster i cloned, and something else im forgetting going on grain right now, all looking FANTASTIC
ive been super busy between all that and work, so ive been a little behind on this project. i still dont have LGT on grain, but i am gonna inoc some today. ive been doing some agar work with it though
first i streaked a couple of plates:

here are some x-1 plates:

and some x-2:

here is the one i will be using for a2g today, looks a little weird but it is VERY organized:

and here are a few x-2 transfers that look REALLY organized:
will post updates when i spawn it

i fuckin LOVE serial dilution streaking... it knocks about 100 transfers off the time it takes to get an isolate (in some cases)
i can typically get a REALLY well organized culture within 2 transfers, and have even gotten isolates within 4!
on the other hand, remember that 295g AA+ fruit i grew (i think it was a forum record for indoor ) ? i cloned it nearly a year ago, and some 40 transfers later i still get sectoring lol.. im fascinated by the way strains group up and organize, and would love to learn the dynamics of what causes them to group up vs differentiate themselves

finally xfered a couple plates to grain yesterday from my first batch but have some more promising cultures on the way.
Edit: think I had a little something riding along on this so I've started fresh from spores.

Nice work, everyone! c10, nice agar pics. Thanks for them.
Same here, man. Waiting on some LC to colonize, then I am going to do some Kramer cakes too. Not with this LGT though.
I'm glad you are going to run some of these LGT's on some Kramer cakes.

I have a LGT lc that's coming along nice, cake sound like a fun idea for it, as they seem to do better with LC with some contaminations, and well not sure how clean that LC will be.

Just took a look at my Lucy grain jar. It jumped from like 20% colonization to close to 50% in the last 2 days, without a shake. SO I said fuck it and gave her a shake. She had some really beautiful mycelium "fingers" as I have taken to call them. When it is done, I will throw up some pics and take opinions on if I should g2g or just spawn a shoe box. It has some moisture droplets but nothing slimy looking, like I would see with bacteria.

I've got germination! Defiantly not picture worthy, but its starting. Not bad at just under 3 days. Now to make more plates, grow these out a bit, and then start the transfer process. Also a side note, this is my first time working with a print. I'm a fan compared to messing with syringes, and my diy inoculation loop worked like a champ. Thanks again Ham!

Spawn run took 14 days with BLI. Plan to g2g to 7 more for a mono and use the other 2 jars to spawn a shoebox.

My best Lucy plate. This is 4th transfer from germinations. It is contamination free. I think I will drop a wedge into some LC, and one into a jar of grain, well actually I use a couple small ones.
