what? the pic speaks for itself, the mycelium he didnt include in the new pic is clearly bacterial. IDK why you need to wait and see his lesser results before aknowledging what we all can see
I was simply pointing out that I'm not under any illusions that morelman is here to learn, he put everyone he disagreed with on ignore. there's a bunch of other people reading this thread tho, when some of them ask a Q and get a flawed response, I'm gonna chime in..

Are oats pretty soft after a soak? Im using a new type of wheat (my millet is too slow for my current need) and I just soaked for 24 and drained and loaded. It was pretty soft, I was worried the pc would ruin it but the grains survived.

I like big chunks myself, usually 1/4 plate per jar. I like to just drop it in and be done. I bury mine a little bit. Some cultivators say it takes off faster if you don't give it a little shake and others say it doesn't. I havent made up my mind yet
I keep putting this off cause I'm juggling a while bunch of varieties + species at the sec. But I think I'm putting the Lucy GT to agar tommorow morning when I have my hood on

in general, low self esteems plays a factor in the way people treat others. it is projecting your own flaws onto others by belittling them. time to grow up.

Nice. That's what I did today.

Since my manure is kind of wet due to recent rain storms. I like to grab a flat headed shovel, and beat the pile. (I'm sure a spaded head shovel would work too).

Turn the pile with the shovel.

Beat it again.

You can repeat this process as many times as you'd like. I only did it a few times. Finally you give the pile a roll. Let it sit after the roll all loose and fluffly.

The reasons to do this are; 1. Helps dry the manure faster. 2. Makes it easier to break up come time to hydrate, and pasteurize.
Here is the status of my LGT. The transfers are running aggressively. The wedges to grain transfers are taking off nicely, too.

Inoculated a 5 quart bag of sterilized whole oats with 2 full plates (15X100mm) of well colonized petri cultures.

Nice work with your grows, everyone. It's great to see everyone's progress.

nice hamington loafburg. setting the men apart from the boys! im glad your back around my friend. you bring this forum to the next level.

Just knocked up 4 qts of oats using a half pint jar with 100ml of sterilized water and a 1mm ball bearing inside, dropped in a whole colonized dish and shook the hell out of it. Splashed a bit in each jar in my SAB, then shook em up.
With my personal martinique variety I noticed nearly a week faster colonization time using BLI versus dropping a wedge and shaking. Let's hope these work out the same
