You can have trays or tubs in a grow room in various states of colonizing and fruiting if you know your room. You can also run different species in different states... Most things work if you pay attention.

Your probably not going to have a room at 99% humidity. 1 it is unnecessary, 2 that kind of moisture won't be good for drywall day in and day out.

In this thread of hams, u talk about bumping the humidity up to 99 percent during pinning and 70 or so during fruiting
How is this achieved by loosening the holes or tightening them?
In other words, when your room is at 99 percent humidity, how do u adjust so that the tubs which are fruiting are at 70-80 percent humidity rather than 99 when ur climate outside the tubs is set at 99 percent humidity??
Or am I over thinking this.. and u would leave tubs that are pinning in the spawn run room which is 99 percent humidity? Once pins are ready to be exposed to fruiting conditions the tub is moved to the fruiting room whuch is 70-80%?
Quote:
Raven44 said: "One for spawn run, one for fruiting would be ideal." Seems you haven't read the prior posts...
I never said spawn room. I said spawn run room and fruiting room. Aka colonization room and fruiting room...
Also ham runs a sealed room with two humidifiers... these are the two things I'm referring to that you are failing to realize.
Click the link u will see what I mean. He has his tubs in a room lined with plastic and that room he raises the humidity to 99 percent during pinning regardless of the fact he is running mono tubs
Sure you can drop rh inside the tub by loosening poly. This is obvious. My question is what does he do for the tubs needing to be at 70-80 percent humidity when he has the room humidity set at 99...
Seems you would need two rooms to always have pinning tubs at 99 and fruiting tubs at 70-80
If you have tubs pinning in a room set at 99 percent humidity. Any tubs in that room would be at 99 also right? How would you get those tubs down to 70-80% humidity in the tub if the room all the tubs are in is set to 99% for the other tubs that are pinning??
Oh haha, I see what you are referring to now. My current fruiting room doesn't have climate control because the floor isn't concrete, no. There wasn't tubs in the same room in two different stages of growth (spawn run, and fruiting).
In that humidity controlled room no polyfil was used to stuff holes with.

Oh Contraire monfrere. Try telling that to the cultivator over in the Gourmet and Medicinal forum, and the cultivator who doesn't want to grow cubes out of tubs for the rest of their lives.
In order to have a sustainable humidity controlled environment at home you are either going to have to remodel a room in your house with materials made to handle high humidity, or construct a fruiting structure in your back yard from scratch.

i know i know. we dont like external links around here.
this stuff tho, you can literally paint on with a heavy nap roller and tile over (or skip the tile if you happen to like the look) in your shower/tub areas. its like painting with rubber.
too bad you cant paint it a nice color (i dont think). but if its a secret shroom room in your house.... blood red walls, floor, and ceiling might be kinda cool anyway.
edit: you could literally paint any existing room as is with 2 coats and be good to go

Mushboy, that's tight!
Those spores are less than a week old, so rapid germination, and speedy colonization is to be expected.
Bod, very cool. Let us know your letter arrived when you can confirm it's reached destination please.

Oh that's tight buddy. Very nice, rapid germination. Behold the power of fresh spores.
Once my petris arrive I am going to participate in the grow along.
I am beginning to think we should do the grow along in this thread. I mean, I gave so many of these prints away.
What do you all think?
