how sterile should i be?

i have a question regarding ratios/sterilization as i want to get my mix correct
my understanding is it's a 2:1:1 verm / brf / water, though ive read there's no absolute perfect mix as some do well with a little more in the verm direction arround 55/45/45 -60/40/40 area
though im a while away before i'll even be jaring up and pressure cooking as that depends on the growth of my current cake i was thinking of getting my mix for a single jar sorted so i know how much to weigh in advance when the time comes and wonder how sterile i should be at this point since what ever i weigh now is going to sit arround a while at least month or more before it gets steralised in the pc ive yet to buy...
im thinking as sterile as possible of course and i have a little alcohol or will i be ok just using boiling water in the weighing bowl/jar the jars are bonne mamon jam with metal lids and hold 340g
if the mix isn't best to be left arround ill just do this at the time, what can i say im eagre to be doing something excited to get into the culitvating of mushrooms mainly for cooking and healing though im thinking of trying some cubes again as its been a long time but may be best left for a while till im in a better place
i did buy my brf in bulk to save money as that is damn expencive otherwise and have engouh for a good few projects when i complete my first from grom the current cake, i plan to tape that up as soon as ive weighed up as it has no seal
before anyone chimes in i did read somewhere here, if you want to grow mushrooms you need patience and that is something ive gain alot of over time

High five on the jars lol
I use literally the exact same ones and for 5 jars with a bit spare it was: 625ml vermiculite 312.5ml water 312.5ml brf (I use rye flour just because it's a lot easier to find in supermarkets and very cheap plus it can't be that different nutrient wise)
Just divide it by 5 to get per jar.
I wouldn't recommend mixing your stuff up prematurely, and it doesn't matter how filthy you are sterility wise whilst you're prepping the jars/adding the dry verm layer and lids, it's going to be pressure cooked anyway. Sterile tek only matters when you're handling the jars AFTER they've been sterilised.
You do know you can steam sterilise PF cakes though? They don't necessarily NEED to be pressure cooked, so if you wanna do a little batch whilst you wait for your PC to arrive, go for it

hey high back and thanks for the info, they just seemd the most suitable and narrowing towards bottom similar to mason jars which are expencive and hard to obtain in uk but found some at £2 each without delivery so i did ok on my ebay score at a pound a jar

Consolidation is giving the mycelium an extra week after full colonisation to finish digesting the nutrients and switch itself into fruiting mode. It'll do it whether you want it to or not, so it's much better to allow it to do so whilst still in the sterile conditions of the jar rather than having it sat there in the shotgun fruiting chamber for an extra week doing literally nothing except making you wonder what you did wrong.
