Question turned into a little game :)

This game is called find/count the knots(if any). Because I can't seem to figure this out. I have been staring at these bacterial looking cakes for so long I don't know what I'm looking at anymore... somebody help? I don't think the tray has started yet, but (correct me if I'm wrong) the little tiny bumps toward the top of the cake in the first pic ARE knots right?

Pic 1 and 3 are the same cake. Just opposite sides. I have been freaking out about this bacterial bullshit I have going on here. Also some blue bruising too. I just need 1 mature shroom and I'll be able to make a print and try another grow. Lemme see if I can get a better pic of the tray.

Bacteria isnt a massive problem with cakes especially fully colonised ones. Chill out give them what they need and reap your rewards.

That's just it though, I made my sgfc to spec, have 5 inches of moist perlite, mist and fan at least 4 times a day. These are orissas and I have read that they like to grow slowly but things have definatly been on the longer side of the time scale throughout the whole grow. Cakes smelled great when birthed so I know my spawn was good.

This one is a better pic of the tray although it was taken a day or 2 ago.
And my jars took about 5 weeks to completley colonize. Consolidated for 6 days. The cake in the photo has been in fruiting for 11 days now. The trays have been in for about 6 days.

Man I feel like I'm drowning them with water at this point. As soon as I notice the moisture and wetness dissappear from the surface I mist and fan again.

Oh wow. Just found trich underneath one of my newer cakes. I'm really not happy right now.

I cut the bottom half of the cake off and placed it in a seperate container with a zip lock covering it. Hopefully I caught it before the spores got all over everything else.
