Im about to do an ape grow anx want to know your perso al tips and tricks on proxucing the best results. ie: higher fae than normal, more water hungry, etc.
Obviously they will grow mostly like any other cube but more as a novelty. Im interested in being able to up the yeild to at least what you would pull with a regular cube.
So whats some little things you've noticed about growing ape that arent just blatently obvious if you havent or dont often grow them?

you used ie when you meant to use eg. a simple way to remember is that eg can mean example given.
ape takes a long time to pin, so a slightly thicker substrate depth to help against drying out is useful. also might want to avoid the route of fruiting at spawning, and let the ape colonize, just because the long pinning time. exposure to fae for 2+ weeks can dry it out pretty easily.

Odd. Ive always had no problem getting ape to pin pretty quickly. Maybe a day or two behind a regular cube.
Im just not a fan of such small fruits. Im sure I could slightly better my outcomes from selective cloning but im looking at it from an ms point of view. Anx good catch on the ie/eg

i.e. = id est = latin for "that is"
e.g. = exempli gratia = latin "for example"
so technically, they have different but very similar meanings, and are used practically interchangably

Not lame my dude, proper distinction of meanings and unabiguity is important, especially since a lot of us want mycology to be taken seriously as a science rather than a hobby.
