Along with the environmental challenges there are also civil cases in the works as the wall will encompass people on the American side of the border effectively locking them out as being on the Mexican side. Apparently building the wall right along the river is pretty complex, go figure.

Yep, gonna be lots of opposition to stopping the inflow of cheap labor, for people who claim to hate big business, you guys sure do side with them a lot, go figure

The wall is a waste of time and money that we could be spending to annex Mexico. If people still want a wall at that point, at least it will be a much shorter one.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them. I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

what we really can't afford is to allow ourselves to slide back towards the days of gross pollution.
just because others pollute more than us is no reason to hold ourselves to a lesser standard. What we should do is leverage the power of our consumer market to force other assholes to pollute less, thereby leveling the playing field somewhat.
