Hi, there tubs bother are stored at about 68 degrees when the monotubs are colonizing and fruiting. Just to note there are different monotubs.
1) Tub 1 roughly a week old PE that is fruiting. This has 2 pictures, the zoomed in picture that is closer, I was wondering if any of you guys could see early primordia
Also note, the orange is just the mushies metabolites it looks like.

2) This is B+, I am still letting it colonize and haven't introduced light and air to it at all, this is the first time I peeked in there since when I put my WBS into the substrate 2 weeks ago. (I know your not supposed to do this, but I couldn't get a decent picture from the outside of the tub).

My question is do you think there looks to be anything of concern, and about another week before it is done? Also my main concern is in the top right of the image, the liner curled over and is covering the substrate. I was wondering should I be concerned or attempt to peal it away? I figured I shouldn't reach in there till the whole tub looks colonized, since I don't want to introduce any oxygen in there when I have to reach my in the tub, which could start premature pinning
3) This is my second penis envy, tub and isn't related to the first images.

Nothing much say about this one, other than it looks like it is coming along nicely. But, I noticed a lot of peoples pictures with their PE tubs looking a lot whiter and more colonized than mine. But I didn't know if it was because they inoculated with rye, pasteurizer, WBS, or hay, and this might have impacted their dirt and caused their to do better. Also I figured my temperature being 68 degrees isn't the best for it to colonize. The tub has been colonizing for 2 weeks, but I expected it to grow slow because of PE always seems to be slow.

1. Don't keep your tubs in the dark. Old, outdated info. Mycelium has been proven to benefit from ambient light at all stages.
2. Metabolites are a sign that the mycelium is under stress from bacteria. Bacterial substrates can still fruit but weakened mycelium has a higher chance of mold contamination and lower yields. You need to work on your spawn production. Spores should be cultured on agar before being put to grain.
3. PE can take a *very* long time to pin, FYI. Next time consider using a casing layer with PE.
4. You can open the tub all you want to check on it and take pictures. There is no such thing as premature pinning, it will pin when its good and ready. A lot if cultivators introduce fruiting conditions right after spawning their tubs now, myself included. Right after I mix the tubs I put the poly fill in (well I use micropore tape in place of poly these days). You can pick the liner up if you want.
5. 68° is a great temp for colonization and fruiting.
Next time post in Mushroom Cultivation forum we can help with all your questions.
Good luck!

Can't do anything, just don't let puddles form if you mist I guess.
Metabolites are present but it doesn't mean they're heavily bacterial or anything
