Super white growth and slight vinegar odor on establish Blue Oyster Cube

Of course my first post has to be a question about contamination, but here goes:
In an attempt to understand cultivating mushrooms, and because I love growing things, I bought one of those mini oyster mushroom kits. I successfully cultivated one side of the cube. I wanted to see if I could get that first side filled back in with a healthy amount of mycelium to try and fruit that side a second run, also my cube became pretty dry.
So I soaked it for about two days with peroxide and water for about 3 days wrapped in a sterilized (as sterile as I could attain) bag in the dark sealed away from air.
The first side did seem to recolonize ok, but the new side started pinning heavy and has a really thick mycelium, but it also has a super white almost mold looking growth on the surface. I looked into it, and from what I read it seems to not be cobweb mold, due to its stark white appearance, its not very lofty either. But my cube does have a smell of acetic acid, vinegar. It's not over bearing, but it has me concerned of other contaminates. What are the thoughts of the community?
Apologies if this is not posted in the correct section. Thanks for all advice!
(Edit: The bag I used has a green tint to it, I assure everyone there is no green growing on the cube.... yet....)

If you contact the vendor, they might give you a refund. Had this happening to me too, only mine was as green as a ninja turtle and apparently the inside had no mush mycelium, just some kind of mold or something..
