Legit write up. I think Standard PF tek performs better than that though. With the larger surface area and what not.

its water dude. pf cakes make for lower yields because verm holds shit for water. even when spawned to bulk
its nothing like the yields other grains can pump out because they can hold more water.

ime at least. maybe im wrong, but surface area and yield do not always equate. its always water.

surface area has so little to do with yields in my opinion. look at bottle tek bottles

Decent results, considering how much I left these alone and barely had to mist them at all. harvesting some of the side pins however can be a pain but idk its easier than doing cakes honestly.

Ziran couldn't you cover the sides of your jars to prevent side pinning or was it not a concern?

That doesn't prevent side pins anyway

It depends where the microclimate is really good. and when you mist those jars the water seeps down in between the cake and the jar creating a really good micro climate.

 I noticed with jars in the SGFC you also dont have to mist nearly as often. the cased layer tends to evap a bit slower

I didn't bother dunking these, So they will probably just absorb the water.

Instead of birthing the cakes just dunk them for 24 hours jars and all.
The weight of the jars will keep them underwater.
When you're ready to fruit, just case with coir or verm and you're good to go

Going to be dunking these two, then casing one in coir and the other in verm.

Going to be fruiting these in a SGFC.
