Coprinoids? Hopefully going to find some pan cyans later this week.

Hoping to find some Pan. cyans. I know there are cattle farms in the area. Anyone done any hunting on this particular island?

As far as the panaeolus cyanescens go i'm not sure but when I was there I did see some spots that looked like good possibilities. You might try hanging around the Hanalei Bakery and asking some of the hippies and such there. Or do some scoping for yourself I think there's a lot of good potential spots.
I also saw a thread on Hunting and ID like a month ago or so about people actually finding Psilocybe Cyanescens at certain greenhouses on Kauai and Maui. I have my doubts about that but it seemed legit, and its possible if someone was purposefully propagating them. Might be worth taking a look (or finding the thread and sending some PMs?)

I saw that thread also, pretty sure the woodlovers mentioned were fruiting in wood mulch at an outdoor garden at a fairly high elevation on Maui. Don't remember seeing anything about Kaui but I'll keep my eyes open.

Coprinoids in Kauai [Re: Sk8nshram]

These were found at the base of a tree im unfamiliar with on Kauai. Im assuming they are some type of coprinoid.

These were lots of rainbow eucalyptus trees that had been planted at the little arboretum we were at. Pretty freaking cool looking.
Also, side note, scored some decent bud at the beach and got confirmation of pan cyans. Gotta scout spots or start calling farmers asap. Plenty of cattle around.

Yep, those are coprinoids.

I would agree with your guess, but I'm a novice.
The bark on that tree is really cool.

I've been seeing a lot of mulch in peoples yards. A lot of the botanical gardens are super expensive to get into. I am headed to one tomorrow though. I'll definitely be on the lookout. It's has rained quite a bit since I've been here.
