Would this work to rehydrate a casing?

Can you injected around 10cc's of water in different spots...instead of spraying the casings. Everytime i spray my casings i get tons of aborts. Basically my first flush has a 100% to 10% ratio over my second flush. Its really disapointing.
After the first flush the conditions in the container doesn't change. This spraying is fucking with me so i need to know another way to rehydrate a casing after flushes.

use a bottom casing layer next time and after the first flush the casing will be pulled away from the wall and squirt water down the side and hydrate the bottom casing layer. this works wonders try it out you wont go back when putting it in at first you dont need to have it all that moist but when it does need the water you just add it I dont see why everyone doesnt do this

YEA! That was another thought. Since the casings shrink i can just lift them out and put water on the vermiculite layer thats under it. I always case with a bottom vermiculite layer.
Great idea man, Im going to do that from now on! Here is 5

It does work nicely. You don't have to lift the casing out of the container. Just dribble, squirt, pour, whatever water down the sides and that verm on the bottom will absorb the water.
Recasing after breaks is a nice combo with that ^

why not? it involves a lot less physical contact than the method you described above and it isnt hard at all. i say give it a try.

Fucking dunking this whole casing. IT would be a mess. All the dirt on top of the substrate would come off and my abort problem would more then likly continue to happen. I want to rehydrate the casing without having the top layers get soaking wet. The spraying underneath the substrate onto the verm is the best idea and thats what im going to do. Nothing else.

hey homie, before you dunk you are to rinse off your casing. Rinse off the casing till it is down to the bare mycelium....dunk for about 18 hours, then put a thin layer of nice moist casing over it, mist again if necessary. Pins will shoot up all over, and have plenty of water to get big as fuck, better than your first flush i bet, no or little abortion..
dont be afraid, since the mycelium network has colonized the whole substrate, it is very contam resistent. Once you do this you will never want to do it another way...unless of course you just love them aborts :P
all you need is a container to put it in, and something to weight it down, like a clean brick. Or you can use a few cups and put them on top of the casing then put the lid on the container and the cups will push it down so it is completely submerged. Also put it in a cooler place to shock it a little more, or have water COLD.
hope you give it a try man, ya just dont know what your missing, it does not hurt anything, it simply rehydrates your entire substrate to 110%, which is more than your asking for.
good luck....if ya dont do it this time around, give it a try next grow, make an extra tray to experiment with
