Would you add insects to your daily diet?
    #24207558 - 03/31/17 08:50 AM (6 years, 11 months ago)

Insect make up the largest life mass on the planet. They are among the most nutritious things you can eat. They contain high quality protein and they high amounts of them also.

I believe they were intended to be a very part of human nutrition but we decided to go hunting for larger, less nutritious and more dangerous source of food. Animals.

If you had frozen pacakge of insect or dried up crickets or whatever that you had easy access to, would you buy them regularly? Would you shift from beef and chicken to cricket and larvea?
If insects were easily found in every grocery store, what would you do?
You may choose only one

If we just reduced the population all our food problems vanish. A society that eats insects is a overpopulated one.

Occasionally.  I have had chili fried grasshoppers before and they were awesome, very nutty flavor with a nice crunch.  Only other bug I tried was some sort of beetle, looked like a June bug relative and they were absolutely horrible :puke:

If we stopped eating beef, most of our problems would vanish and more humans could be added.

It makes more sense to reduce the human population so we can continue to eat beef.

No it does not.

We can control the beef population. Not the human population. People will keep on fucking no matter what and we're not about to shoot some in the head either. Cattle on the other hand are 100% dependent on us and are enslaved by us.

We can easily control the human population our leaders just lack a spine and forward thinking. All environmental problems would be solved with a severely reduced population.

The biggest environmental problems we have have come through farming cattle. We shave forrest to get farm land, we chop the crops to feed the cows, they drink a shit ton of water and they are extremely inefficient in the calorie and protein aspect.

Society needs to move away from cow consumption.

It's only bad because so many humans eat beef. If the world population was say 50 million eating beef would be fine.

Someone just watched Cowspiracy:lol:

I agree though with the negatives of animal agriculture, actually all agriculture in general.
The totalitarian type at least

You don't need to look very far to see that animal farming is problem.

If I was visiting a different culture where it was the more I guess I would. No reason to be disrespectful when I can budge of certain aspects of my diet.

I don't believe in eating somethings heart, brains or reproductive parts; just won't do it.

Well insects are animals but i know what you mean.

I would not buy bugs but i would eat bugs if i had to find my own food.

Infact ive done it before. Me and my mom tried to survive with no food. We were so clase to catching a fish but it left so i caught a grasshopper (which was hard af for some reason. I used to catch thise things all the time when i was like five but when i acctually need one I cant get one?)and cooked it and ate it and we found a few raspberries and clovers too.
