Truffles arrived in mail-- green/red mold?
    #24205087 - 03/30/17 11:16 AM (7 years, 9 months ago)

Hello,
Today I received some truffles, of the tampanensis variety, from a respected online Smartshop in Holland. They are vacuum sealed, however one of the truffles has green splotches and another is red. I haven't opened them yet, though the plan is to consume them on Saturday. I notified the shop and they're kindly going to send me a new batch free of charge... But of course I don't want these to go to waste. Would it be safe just to scrub them a bit and snarf 'em down? Or are they fine to begin with and I'm worrying for nothing?
