Yes. DO NOT GO AT THAT ALONE! I have tripped dozens of times in the forest, and while backpacking. Every single time I remember saying "Thank fuck I wasn't alone!" Last time was actually at Ginnie Springs, a natural spring in Florida, and there was like 30 of us tripping for 3 days in the woods. GOOD TIME!

Bring a topo map and a compass so u dont get lost. And if u go alone, trip in the morning in case u get lost and need sunlight to navigate.
Bring lots of water and snacks too. Some headpones/music too.

while it is common sense anytime one is going alone into the woods or what-have-you.... TELL SOMEONE WHERE YOU ARE GOING, FOR HOW LONG, AND WHEN YOU PLAN TO RETURN HOME (and call them to let them know)
i don't mean to scare you at all, but you could seriously. seriously hurt yourself especially if at nite. no point in bleeding out cause that low hanging 1/3" diameter broken conifer branch stabbed you in the belly and pierced your intestine lining. i slipped and fell, sober, in my dirt driveway a few years back and majorly fucked up an ankle; all i was doing was walking normally.
fire [pit] + psychedelics = happy

Sure is nice to at least have a dog with you if you're going to be out there alone. That way you have peace of mind that an animal or person won't just sneak up on you. That peace of mind makes a big difference when you're miles away from help and tripping balls.

Make sure you have an empty stomach and smoke/eat some pot before you dose.

Don't. Everybody wants to be a badass bushman until they realize that being a bushman is a lot more work than it is communing with nature. The woods aren't a playground. The ground does literally fall away from beneath your feet and there are pointy rocks a plenty to break your fall.

Prepare for hypothermia.
Prepare for hypothermia.
Prepare for hypothermia.
I don't care if it is summertime. Prepare for hypothermia. Trust me. We pull way more people/bodies out of the woods for hypothermia-related issues than any other. Even in the summertime. A sprained ankle won't kill you, but hypothermia from exposure will.

- Keep a nice sturdy walking stick with you and learn how to displace your wight on it
- Bring plenty of layers, It's a lot easier to lose body heat than to conserve it
- Prepare your campsite and fire pit BEFORE dosing
- Pee in a bottle and sprinkle it around/near your campsite, bugs may like your pee but large mammals won't
- Try to camp in a low landed area, it's better for keeping campfire smoke trapped in your general area making it difficult for bugs who want your blood to get near you, If you find a really good spot for this you might not even need bug spray (still bring some sort of bug repellent)
As for supplies,
- Life Straw
- FULLY REFUELED Torch Lighter/Wind Proof lighter
- Like 6 separate ropes
- Hammock and Water Proof Tarp
- Flash Light with NEW BATTERIES
- A Big, SHARP and Durable knife, not some $10 swiss-army pocket knife
- A SHARP Hatchet, It's really easy to spend a large portion of your energy by just trying to cut enough wood for the night, MAKE SURE IT'S EXTREMELY SHARP!
- First Aid Kit
- Depending on where you are, Bear Mace/Projectile Pepper Spray.
- Trail markers, Something like Fat and Thick Extremely Reflective tape. Put a new piece of tape on BOTH sides of tree to mark your trail in and out of there. this might be annoying having to cut off 2 pieces of tape every 20-50 feet but getting lost is A LOT worse. Remember to remove the tape on your way out too.
Depending on where you are and what your doing for food Bring a fishing pole and a fillet knife too. or Just bring enough food with you.
That's all I can really think of at the moment. I remember camping on 2 hits of LSD 145ug by myself. Sitting there tending the fire all night. It was a very primal and extremely fulfilling experience. I had a lot of doubts going into that woods but the next day I felt I was ready to fucking spear a bear if it came down to it hahaha.
