Best procedure for speed of fruiting cubensis in mono.

Hi~
This is what I do: (cloned golden teacher, 75 degrees, franks mono)
1) Four actual quarts of rye berries fully colonized, then for two additional days.
2) Set into a tub with 1 brick of coir, two quarts of verm, and some gypsum. No casing.
3) Keep in closed environs until first fruit is seen. (14 days) (looks fully grown at 7 days)
4) Put in fruiting conditions and start harvesting in 7 days.
Am I delaying anything here? Is there trade off's with speed vs contams?
Thanks in advance...

what?
you cant plan it like that and number 3 and 4 make no sense.
just fruit at spawning. skip step 3.
put in fruiting conditions right away and see pins in 13-16days. harvest a few days later.

3) "closed environs" is my holes taped and lights on. the lid is obviously not tight.

fruit at spawning so no. i stopped doing it back in october.
to detail it...
i spawn into shoeboxes.
after 5-6 days they look like this.
i either leave them on a shelve to fruit inside the container w/lid upside down.
or i toss inside monos for fun.
thats it. dont over complicate.
what does 'actual quarts' mean??

Actual quarts vs a quart jar filled 3/4 with grain.

always leave head room for the grains to be shaken/spot contams on the top of grains from filter failures

So there is no reason to wait? I thought the mycelia grows better in high CO2.

When your sub is colonized you fruit. If your sub isn't colonized you don't fruit.

Although not everyone waits until pinning to open it up. Someone advised that a while back.

no im not surprised by it. i used to do it. ive been growing for awhile.
BUT i stopped because doing a 100% colonizing VS fruit at spawning is the same damn thing. at least with your average cube. doing APE i think you need to be a bit more ontop of it but the phrase 'sealing up' and 'in the dark colonizing' are old and out dated IMO.
those words i associate with failure. and being a trich farmer.
nature sure as shit isnt 'high co2' granted we are doing microclimiates but even when i did colonize tubs/trays and THEN fruit i always thought that the colonizing run seemed odd but i never paid attention to what i was thinking because 'wtf do i know' you know?
