completely appropriate, many will say not to do it in such situations, but if you keep a level head, keep it to yourself, and be discreet...who knows, i have faith in you =)

in my opinion, for stealth setups such as what you want to do, invitro growing in jars is a completely valid approach. using brf/verm, you could boil some water with the jars in it, when you have an hour or so to yourself. innoculate, and forget about them, hide them, let them do their thing, check on them in a month, or from time to time, and voila, no need for an icechest someone could stumble upon, nor the great need for humidity, since the jars will be containing alot of it. while he harvest might not be wonderful (or could be, depends on substrate), it would serve your purpose, you'd learn about mycology, albeit in a closed enviorment, but thats a footstep in the right direction, for the sacafice of privacy.

likewise, as you mentioned, a bag would work for your needs as well, its just a matter of cost, effectivity, and discreetness in your case. all of the above would hypothetically work for mycobags, but with your own substrate mixing, you get an understanding of food sources, moisture content, and various other things i could ramble on.

in any case, stay safe, be smart, and welcome aboard.

p.s. happy birthday

if you really want to know about growing then you have to do it yourself even if it is invitro. just start with like six jars, get a small PC, and do it that way. you'll learn a lot very fast and have enough experience to move on to bigger and better things. also, just a bit of advice, dont say where you live (unless its the netherlands) and that you want to cultivate in the same post EVER.

The good spores you hear about are from RalphstersSpores.com, (two S's) sporebank.com just uses that name to trick you into buying their spores.

Thank you for clarifying the difference between ralphstersspores.com and sporebank's trickery.

I guess I'll just hang around these forums while I have my first experiment with cultivation and when next year rolls around, I'll have an even better, solid knowledge-base.  Thanks for the support and encouragement
