near the end of winter
    #2418804 - 03/11/04 12:29 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

I live between New York and Boston.  There is a slope on our property that faces away from the sun.  Near the top there is a dense evergreen so wide it shelters a little piece of grass behind it from direct sunlight the whole day.  Snow always hangs on longer there than anywhere else I know.  But that snow has almost melted now and I think winter?s just about done.
I?m going to smoke my last little bowl to celebrate the winter and the end of winter and the start of spring.  :spliff:

well there is changes happening allready but not towards winter all year, but more that it gettin hotter here, i live in the arctic areas of the world and winters have never been so short and summer has never been so hot, and you can see weather statistic over the last 20 years that im right about that, i think some areas in the world . because of the melting of the poles and such will get colder and harder weather but the arctics might just as well become tropical again maybe (it was a tropical area before humans)

we just got enough snow to cover everything, I was bummed because it's been unusually warm after being unusually cold all winter. C'mon Summer.

Its pretty warm where I live too. (texas) Warm enough not to have to wear a jacket or anything. Just a few days ago it was upper 60s/70s. I actually miss winter. I feel like living in Texas cheats me from getting a decent winter.

I'll tell you what, this coming winter we'll switch. My wife will need some company. I hope you like 0 degrees.

There was more snow it turned out. Now that new snow's melted away again. Today was a miserable day here: gray skies and drizzle.

Been fishing, cleaning my yard, burning leaves, mountain biking and hiking all this week, I love spring! It's been in the 70's for a couple days.

I was Large Mouth Bass fishing earlier this week, I didn't do well but some friends I was with caught some small 1 lb and under ones off of in-line spinners. It's pretty early and the water is still way to cold but we had to try it.

The Walleyes are beginning to spawn around here now though and I'm just checking around here before I head down to the river, looking to load up on jig heads, twister tails, beer and pot and go chase Wally's down.
