Almost 100% sure on these. Do these grow where weilii grow? Like in the same vicinity? And do they grow in the same weather?

Just found these. They're quite gross, sticky, and inky.

you found at least two edibles there, well done. you going to try either of them? i know some lit says to be cautious with Lacrymaria but that's the rule with all new shrooms one tries, yeah?
neither the wife nor i are big fans of those weeping Lacrymaria and they're so damn delicate that they dice themselves in the collection basket. i did manage to harvest some last year with unopened caps and tried them simply fried well; they tasted pretty much just like dirt and i fed em to the chickens. the Marasmius have evaded us so far even though they're common enough. i guess we don't hunt grass that often, though.
let us know if you try either of them.

I've tried the marasmius. Not a fan. And if you think I'm gonna put that sticky, black, mushroom-sperm covered thing... Hell no.

ha, not that gross third one you posted, the first one. is that what you're describing as sticky, black, etc?
i've heard really good things about Marasmius. do you like edible mushrooms in general? i do know more than a couple people that don't like any mushrooms except the occasional Agaricus.
hopefully you get more r*** soon since you're helping to keep the forum moving.

I have becomed slightly obsessed with Mycology in general. And since I was young, I've always loved mushrooms in my food. They're so yummy. I just recently found, picked, and cooked Lyophyllum decastes. Quite delicious. And I found Agaricus yesterday. To scared to try it though.

And yeah working landscape helps out a lot. It's supposed to r*** again tomorrow night and hopefully it will again this weekend. And I'm not the only one keeping the form running you guys find way more than I do I just work landscape so it's easier for me to spot. But does this mean weilii are possible suspects again?
